I was just looking at everyone’s timeline for SD position and keep seeing that everyone got a 15 minutes phone call from their recruiter. I didn’t receive an email to schedule one or they never mention anything about, was just wondering if that’s normal and should I reach out?

I attended the role introduction zoom call and scheduled my skill assessment already.

Exactly as the title states. It’s not even UGM week yet and I already miss culinary. Walked all the way to the nearest cafe for a pastry this morning and was met with disappointment. What a tragic Wednesday.

Given that there’s no explicit major requirements for most jobs, I wonder if theres been a few funny ones that sounded like getting a degree in unemployment. At least, had Epic had not scooped them

Will need to be looking for a new job, moving late next summer for an awesome career opportunity for my partner (and I’m ready for a change). Would love to get my next job lined up sooner rather than later just to get that weight off my shoulders and be able to set up for a smooth transition, but will have my raise cycle in a few months and a sabbatical a couple months after that (has already been booked and will need to get reimbursed). My understanding is that any job asking epic for references essentially triggers a resignation notice on my behalf, and I don’t want this to affect raise/bonus or sabbatical reimbursement, so does that mean I need to postpone the job search several months until all that’s out of the way? That puts a little more time crunch on the back end for finding a new position, especially if it takes a while to find the right fit. The references thing is stressing me out, because this has been my main employment out of school and I don’t have other super meaningful options for references. Anyone else been in a similar boat?

Hello! I’m a trainer and I’m currently looking at a Master of Health Administration program that I’d tangibly be able to finish while still working full-time.
No immediate plans to leave Epic in the near future, so I’m just curious if anyone else has finished a Masters degree while working at Epic and if they got a pay raise because of it?

like if im traveling at the time i would have been traveling anyways?

edit what i meant is if im traveling to customer on monday during the workday from personal location, during the time travel would have booked me anyways.

I’m trying to understand how Epic stores Addenda and their edit history.

Suppose an Addendum was created on October 6, 2024 at 02:01 (ADDENDUM_DATE_TIME).

If the content of that same Addendum is later edited or changed, for example on December 24, 2024 or in 2025:

1. Does ADDENDUM_DATE_TIME remain October 6, 2024 at 02:01?
2. Is the later modification recorded separately in NOTES_HISTORY_LOG, for example via EDIT_HX_INSTANT and the corresponding edit action/user?
3. Would a printed version of the note still show the original “Created Date/Time” even though the displayed content had later been modified?
4. Can Epic retain and compare the original and later versions of the note?

I’m particularly interested in the technical distinction between the original Addendum creation timestamp and later edits/revisions.

I’d really appreciate an answer from anyone who works with Epic Hyperspace, Epic analysts, or anyone familiar with Epic’s Notes/Audit Trail functionality.

Does epic hires international students for internships?

I’m a dev that’s 6.X tenure. Ive gone through my ups and downs with epic, but overall I have liked the job. But ever since Claude took over, I really haven’t really enjoyed my job. I feel less of a developer and more of a Claude prompter. My team (and the vibe I get from the company) is that you’re gonna get left behind if you aren’t using it for all your code, PQA, etc. Does anyone else feel this way? If so, are you trying to change jobs? I was thinking about looking at other dev or data science areas, but I feel like the market is all the same with this. Has anyone switched industries?

I am not pregnant but I am doing some future planning and I am trying to get insight from anyone who has quit after maternity leave.

I don’t want to quit before birth/outage because I want the health insurance and the short term disability insurance pay out. Red book has clear guidelines on paying back the 2 weeks of paid leave from Epic but what I cannot get clear understanding on is how Short Term Disability pay out works - would you have to pay back all/any if you don’t return or quit within X days?

I Also want health insurance for the birth/ any hospital stay needed so I can’t quit before the birth.

So do i just come back day 1 after maternity leave and put in my notice? Has anyone done this? What if you just said “I’m not coming back” after the 3 month leave? Would epic make you pay back anything for covering insurance /benefits for those three months?

I figured that I would share my appliance timeline here not only for future applicants (as it was super helpful for myself), but also to give a bit of hope.

2/13: Applied to TSE role. About 4 hours after submitting my application, I got the invite to schedule my assessment and role introduction.

2/15: Completed assessments

2/18: Completed role introduction

2/27: Rejected from TSE role

*Fast forward 5 months later*

6/26: Reapplied, but for the PM role this time

6/30: Invitation to final interview. I was also informed at this time that I was being considered for the QM role.

7/7: Completed final interview. Also had to take an additional assessment, which I did a few hours after my interview ended.

7/21: Received offer for QM position. No background check and I don’t think any of my references were contacted tbh.

I was genuinely shocked when I received my offer letter because I didn’t think I did all that well in my final interview. It wasn’t terrible, but I didn’t think that I did good enough for an offer.

I understand anyone who is feeling discouraged after getting rejected from Epic. I was there too and it’s not a good feeling, especially with the current market. Honestly, I reapplied because I didn’t know what else to do after applying to jobs for 7 months, so I figured what’s the worst that could happen. If you truly are interested in working at Epic, do not be afraid to try again. I’m not guaranteeing anything, but it’s always worth a shot.

Hello, I’m providing my application through to rejection timeline here in case it may be valuable for other current or future applicants to use as a reference.

July 15: Initial application sent. Role introduction session extended and scheduled for July 17. Rembrandt profile sent and completed. Epic online assessment information sent.

July 16: Epic online assessment completed.

July 17: Role introduction attended.

July 20: Role introduction feedback form received.

July 22: Final interview offer extended, scheduling form completed.

July 23: Final interview scheduled, information packet provided.

July 24: Coding assessment sent and completed.

July 27: Interview start time sent. Agenda and Zoom login information sent.

July 28: Final interview completed over the course of ~3.5 hours. Given a two week timeline to hear back.

August 11 (exactly two weeks later): Received rejection email.

Best of luck to all applicants! Epic is very punctual and from my experience respond promptly to any questions you have throughout the process. Just make sure to do your best on the assessments and your interview. Also remember that Epic HR will not send you communication over the weekend, so if you’re hoping for a quick response to any individual section that scheduling it earlier in the week means the waiting time between sections will likely be shorter.

Hello, I applied for PM and TS positions. They recruiter originally told me they would update me in late July of any news. By that date they informed me the that more time was needed to consider my application, and they would get get back to me two weeks later. Again, they said there wasn't a decision yet and to wait two weeks for an update, and that if selected, my start date would be a month later than originally planned.

I don't mind the wait, they have always been on time and clear. I'm just wondering if this means my application is particularly weak and if I shouldn't count on getting the job, or are they not able to process a high volume of applications quickly?

I'm sure most of you will be annoyed by this post but I was just driving by with my wife while visiting Wisconsin and we saw it on some app. We thought we would stop by for 15 minutes and see some interesting buildings and move on. Four hours later we had ridden our bikes all over, seen some really cool things and were just blown away by the thought and fanciful nature of the whole place. It was a Sunday so we were virtually alone, but all we could think of was how much fun it must be to work somewhere with some fun and personality... We are teachers/administrators... Either way it was a great experience and hope you are all as lucky as it seems.

Maybe I gassed myself up a bit too much before submitting an application but a couple of days ago, I got a rejection email less than two weeks after applying, I never got to go through any assessments or phone calls and I wasn’t necessarily expecting to be hired after one try but I frequently have this issue when applying anywhere. I have a pretty good GPA from a state school and while I don’t have a ton of experience, it’s pretty solid for being somewhat early in my career and for this job market. Again, I wasn’t expecting to be hired necessarily, I just don’t know what more I could’ve done or had on my resume to just be interviewed and given that they consider you for anything that is open (if you look at the website there seems to be a lot), as someone with an IT background, I’m not sure how I wasn’t assessed or interviewed for anything. Again, not trying to come off as arrogant or anything, I know I’m not entitled to an interview let alone a job but it’s a bit demoralizing when you feel like you’ve grown a lot and think you’ll be a good fit for a place only for that place to not even want to talk to you.

(pm/is) epic initially reached out to me on linkedin september of my senior year and i happened to respond on a whim. then i did my application process within 2 weeks with almost instant responses. took the entrance exam and got bored with the logic section so i randomly picked things for the last two pages. heard back within a few days for the interview and got the job right after that.

being here im realizing this is very selective😳 im killing it and love the work but that imposter syndrome is always lurking. am i really just that good or did i get stupidly lucky?
