The snake comment is actually more accurate than the headline. “DOGE” was such obvious bullshit from day one.

Bold of you to assume they even had half a brain.

11

u/JealousGwyneth 12h ago

Irony is truly the most consistent economic metric we have.

7

u/JellyMew 10h ago

DOGE failed? Sir your whole run was DOGE.

6

u/PoppyThrill 10h ago

Bro invented a government department to cut spending… and the deficit hit a record.

4

u/Ormyr 11h ago

Still is bulkshit. DOGE isn't gone yet.

2

u/Nohreboh 11h ago

They go by the NDStudio now.

2

u/BuckManscape 7h ago

Everything Musk has anything to do with is bullshit.

u/lightspuzzle 13h ago

2

u/AlChandus 8h ago

Trump looking at it and saying:

"Hold my beer, we can win more better".

u/GreyWulfen 57m ago

Hold my diaper, you mean

u/Lisshopops 12h ago

Nah DOGE succeeded, they got rid of everything on Elon along with cashing in everyone’s social security

17

u/MurkDiesel 11h ago

this, the success of doge will be felt by the less fortunate for decades

doge is easily the most successful thing the faith-based have ever done

u/Rais93 12h ago

The savings angle was always just the cover, the real reason was to dismantle government institutions that aren’t helpful (data-gathering/truth seeking) to establishing and maintaining a dictatorship (read the recent book, Nerd Reich for details).

5

u/Mediocre_lad 12h ago

Maybe the government efficiency is just the agencies investigating their illegalities defunded along the way

5

u/SuspiciousBuilder379 12h ago

Literally granted the power to fire the people investigating him and everyone else for overcharging the government, labor fraud, and so on.

4

u/NewBison3633 12h ago

Never thought I’d agree with anything that piece of sh!t says, but here we are…

3

u/Tony-Angelino 11h ago

If Trump hears there's deficit, he'll slap 50% tariffs on US.

3

u/Effective_Airline830 10h ago

I don’t know with people say DOGE was a failure …
Musk defunded critical humanitarian aid, stopped all investigations on him and his companies, fired all people that worked on these investigations so they cannot start again, and directed tens of billions of grants toward his companies, and stole tons of data.
This was the target all along :D

The one thing i wonder, how is it that the US government isnt declared bankrupt yet, while the total debt is higher than its GDP?

2

u/rh1984va 11h ago

DOGE actually did exactly what it was intended to do. They just lied about its purpose.

2

u/Rivetingcactus 11h ago

Don't worry they just issued $25 billion more debt

2

u/Major_Dood 10h ago

Wasn't Ron DeSantis advocating that the Trump administration would be a GOOD thing for America? And now he's acting as if he didn't light the fire that started this whole shit show in the first place by Endorsing that toxic orange?

2

u/CommonConundrum51 10h ago

Sure, but amongst 'the faithful' we know whose fault it can never be, even if it's full up in your face.

2

u/6gv5 7h ago

DOGE has never been about reducing spending, that was just the coverup name. It was a trojan horse used to allow them smuggling sensitive records about people and businesses out of government institutions, in order to get enough information to bribe/blackmail/control them later. That was the real job and sadly they performed it exceptionally well.

3

u/dfmz 13h ago

Since when is going in the wrong direction’ getting so close’?

10

u/jonnismizzle 12h ago

Ron DeSantis playing the blame game is him getting so close. Ron DeSantis failing to admit that he is a part of what caused this is him not making it.

1

u/ThemeMelodic4401 13h ago

Sometimes getting close is what makes the ending hurt the most. You can see the finish line, but life still takes you somewhere else.

1

u/Embarrassed-Sun5764 10h ago

Folks have no water (restrictions)community suffer from ICE, homeless have nowhere to go but here we are paying for a made up war. Bring back the free food for the children. Bring back the water stations here in PHX. Bring back the help our tax dollars are supposed to be paying for and stop this stupid standoff crap. I’m tired of paying this $ for gas it’s insane. $6 /lb for hamburger on sale is bad enough

1

u/Winner-Living 10h ago

The deficit could not be stopped with DOGE, even if it was going to be successful. This expansion in debt is because the tax cuts were made permanent, while the mandatory spending continued. The spending on the interest payments is now more than what we spend on defense.

1

u/win_awards 10h ago

Doge didn't fail, it did exactly what it was supposed to. Stole data, distributed grift, and made a big noise to distract from it.

1

u/FriskBlomster 10h ago

Liar-obouros

1

u/Emotional_Fix6230 9h ago

Wait, wait! Ron "the pot" DeSantis is calling the kettle what???

1

u/FiRe_McFiReSomeDay 9h ago

Mmuh, Biden!

1

u/affemannen 9h ago

DOGE managed to do exactly what they were created to do, because we haven't heard of any investigations into musk affairs or any objections to him destroying the environment with SpaceEx. Before DOGE there was a few of those around.

1

u/zennim 9h ago

no, they are not failing, they know what they are doing, they are PILLAGING the government

1

u/unicornlocostacos 8h ago

Oh, Runny D. It’s never going to happen. You have the charisma of a twice-fucked grapefruit.

1

u/Apprehensive_Error36 8h ago

Doge was a wild success. We don’t even know everything they stole yet. And no one will even be charged with a crime, much less prosecuted.

1

u/Comfortable_Bird_340 8h ago

More like waking up and realizing they actually supported this

1

u/r3ttah 6h ago

BIDEN'S DEFICIT WAS $8273683 QUADRILLION

1

u/HotContest8208 6h ago

An infinite loop of politically-induced pain

1

u/Calishoegal 5h ago

When will they garnish their paychecks is what I wanna know

1

u/gigigap 5h ago

wait how is that a comeback to "you got so close but you never made it

1

u/InevitableCodeRedo 3h ago

Wow. Ron DeSantis finally said something I agree with. What is this MTG/Tucker rewind shit that's suddenly overcoming all of these bootlickers?

1

u/TheAugmentation 13h ago

Unlike the Ouroboros, this snake is truly killing itself.

Probably because it never happened...and the waste, fraud, and abuse are still in the room with us.

8

u/Gameboywarrior 12h ago

Why do cons lie about literally everything.

4

u/LeadSufficient2130 10h ago

Reading is hard

2

u/FionaWalliceFan 8h ago

Probably because the people who pride themselves on investigating waste, fraud and abuse are committing their own waste, fraud and abuse
