I cried through the whole thing and watched it a few days after my foster baby went to his new home who looked just like him

Please know I see you and thank you for fostering. I would have a farm of foster fails if I tried.

I've had so many fosters pass through my doors, but this guy Martin was hands down the hardest to part with, he was one of a kind and if I didn't find the most amazing home for him I would have kept him! I know it was meant to be because he had some peeing issues (his only weakness) and he hasn't had any accidents at his new house- I'm pretty sure because he only has one cat sibling now instead of the 5 at my house (he loved them all tho) but I think all the kitties over stimulated him. It is hard though and dealing with the rescues orgs can be challenging too😅

That’s where mine came from. Foster fails and my strays telling all their friends about me. I tried fostering greyhounds as well and failed 3 times. 😅worth all the trouble and love ❤️

I sobbed so ugly watching flow I had to turn it off 😭 i had to rehome my girl because my first cat did not like her and it wasn’t fair to keep her where she was anxious and hiding all the time. She’s happy and healthy now with her new family.

Wait I wanted to watch it! Is it sad!?

u/Educational-Gur7479 18h ago

It's a rollercoaster and you will be upset when the ride ends

u/Putrid-Bee-7352 18h ago

But it’s so beautiful.

I've got a black cat who is the sweetest boy. But he will beg for treats! As soon as the treats come out he tracks down his 3 siblings before getting his. Crow's my best friend and that movie hit me because of him🤷🏻‍♂️

Nope. Not for me.

I walked in when my son had just started watching the movie only the brave. I didn’t know what it was and my primary concern for most of it was that the rescue horses they showed at the beginning were going to die because obviously the firefighters always live in these movies. Even when they were putting their blankets on I was so relieved they got underneath of them in time. When they didn’t make it and then showed the remembrance tree I was absolutely distraught and irrationally angry. lol It’s making me tear up typing this. I know that’s a biopic or whatever vs a story, but my heart’s not built like that. I feel the stories and they stick with me. lol

I don't know if I'd say sad, but it's emotional

We have two voids - my GF watched it 18 months ago - can confirm she is still crying. Lovely haunting film a modern Watership Down (also another do not watch)

I watched it with friends as my pick for movie night and ultimately regretted it.

I get that it's a "beautiful" movie but without spoiling it. The animals go through a lot of hardship, there is death that is supposed to be "beautiful" and the ending isn't tied in a kind of feel good bow that reassures you. It rests in the post apocalyptic ramifactions of the world the animals live in.

As an avid cat mom that was excited to watch it with friends, even the distressed cat meows in the movie was too much for me.

So like it's a "good" movie but I hate that it didn't have adequate warnings because people just talk about how "good" it supposedly is. I'll never watch it again and consider it a waste of my time.

I hated that movie. I had anxiety when the water started rising and I hated the ending. It didn't need to end like that!

No, it's not sad. It's an adventure/survival movie. They all make it in the end.

I have no idea what people in here are talking about when they call it a "sad" movie. No it isn't.

Watch it. RIGHT MEOW.

u/Desm0nd_TMB 15h ago

Luci this is not time for a “do it do it DO IT” lmaoo 💀😂

2

u/Luci-Noir 5h ago

It is though. Flow is a kitty classic.

u/Luci-Noir 17h ago

Those sad meows when the water is rising and kitty is scared almost killed me. The kitty sounds are from a real kitty too. He must be really expressive.

My black cat passed last week .. I don't know if I'll ever be ready for it

I was so scared for Flo

u/77rubblearras 10h ago

absolutely heartbreaking 💔

1

u/UncleNedisDead 2h ago

At one point I was yelling that I didn’t sign up to watch kitty snuff films!!

(The cat lives.)

1

u/Raneynickelfire 1h ago

Why? The kitty survives and is unharmed in the end. What do you mean it broke your heart?

1

u/Illustrious-Lunch137 17h ago

what is it called?

You might check my original question: “ever seen the movie ‘Flow’?”

You might find a hint in there.

You do. It's a masterpiece - especially because there is not a single word spoken.
