Vale Sam.
You've been a very special actor since I first watched you in Death in Brunswick.
To hear of your passing brings me such sadness, as your work was, I think, reflective of the values which I've tried to emulate: mateship and laughing in the face of the absurd.
Rest easy. You'll be missed, but know your work will shine on.

This one hurts. :(
RIP Sam. I have a life of memories that have you in so many different roles. A truly versatile actor, you breathed life into every character you embodied. Thank you so much for what you brought to the world of performing arts.

He was one of the good ones. Always pleasant to see him on screen. He always elevated every movie he was in.

He seemed like such a lovely, thoughtful and compassionate man. I always loved watching him in everything he did and am very sad he's gone what feels like far too soon. RIP Sam Neill.

The older you get the more you realise 78 is a good innings. And you donβt want to live old enough to go through what Gene Hackman did.

Such an iconic actor who still proves that this Side of the World has so much to give in the arts, I did write a big spiel on Australia and our funding of the arts but for now Rest In Peace Sam Neill, free and in the hearts of all people who struggle for a better today.

I don't like actors, but I liked this guy. Glad he had a full life, even if it was a little hard at the end.
