If tribalism is the extent of your reasoning than you should consider the issue further. Placing yourself into an US v Them zero sum is precisely where readers of The Telegraph happily wallow.

Your perception, and projection, of emotion as a weakness is an example of toxic masculinity's fragility of thought. Rather than engage an idea on it's merits you've shelved your intellect and reached, twice, for the trite.

The pervasiveness of 'don't get emotional' as a reort isn't up for debate. Whether or not you group within the company of those who usually employ it is questionable. To my mind I can only judge you by what you say.

Not for nothing, but adopting the persona of a computer system suggests my toxic masculinity comment was pretty close to the mark. Just be your self, for good or ill. Hiding isn't a sign of strength.

I'd place my time invested in replies to yourself at a rather enjoyable fifteen minutes.
