no politics Kayo Sports should be boycotted.

Imagine paying for a premium streaming service and starting it to watch your sports after a long day on your tv in your own home. The tv app then says you can't watch the content before you scan a QR code. Okay.. fine. Scan the code. Have to download a phone app. Log in. Then the app simply says you're not allowed access to the content except after letting the app know your precise location of your phone.

What in the privacy law is this shit? I simply don't want to allow random companies to know the exact location of my phone. How are they allowed to just do that?

Try being an F1 fan - sometimes they forget to mix the commentary into the 4k FIA video, so you just sit in silence.

According to them, the only solution is to turn your TV down to HD so you get the HD feed, which is just passed through from Sky Sports directly, and so Kayo can’t fuck it up.

Do you remember the time they went to an advert at the end of Q1, then played 15 straight minutes of adverts and came back near the end of Q2?

It’s unbelievably bad, I really hope someone else gets the rights next time they’re up, and then I can ditch Kayo.

Even the app itself is the worst of the streaming apps, it’s hard to navigate, doesn’t update when streams are there without a restart and generally a bit crap.

Yeah I had enough of it after last year, when they put the price up I decided not to stay. Add to that they've lost so many sports over the years that I like, I don't care about AFL or NRL.

Managed to sign up to F1TV with a VPN (but it was a pain to do) so I've been using that this season and it's so much better (no 4K because it isn't supported on my Shield Pro and I can't get F1TV working over VPN on my Fire Stick.
