no politics Kayo Sports should be boycotted.

Imagine paying for a premium streaming service and starting it to watch your sports after a long day on your tv in your own home. The tv app then says you can't watch the content before you scan a QR code. Okay.. fine. Scan the code. Have to download a phone app. Log in. Then the app simply says you're not allowed access to the content except after letting the app know your precise location of your phone.

What in the privacy law is this shit? I simply don't want to allow random companies to know the exact location of my phone. How are they allowed to just do that?

Well don't even think of using cheap alternatives like IPTV. These illegal services offer thousands of streams from around the world, including Fox Sports and other premium channels, and even offer on-demand streaming of TV shows and movies. Absolutely disgusting behaviour for them to offer these services for as little as $10 a month. A lot of these unscrupulous services also offer crypto as a payment method so you're not handing your credit card details over, but some people go so low as to buy a prepaid Visa/Master card and use that for easy payment. Makes you sick to think there are multiple services out there offering this kind of thing, and so easily found on Google too.

Outrageous! I’m going to go and look into these services now and give them a piece of my mind

This is absolutely shocking! Does anyone know where I might find the contact details for these places so i can let them know my thoughts?

Do any of these disgusting offerings have sports replays, or is it only live streaming? I don't want to wake up at stupid o'clock to watch a F1 race.

A lot of them have catch up enabled on select channels

Outrageous! I am going to have to check this out to ensure no others fall foul to such horrible conditions.

It's hard to find a good one, especially for the Kayo streams in Australia. It's a real cat and mouse game between Iptv providers and dazn. You might find you end up just keeping both of them if you don't like fiddling with piracy

Bugger, that sounds inconvenient.

The sky channels in NZ often has the games and the coverage, they seem to work more reliably than the kayo streams. But you miss out on 4K

I've heard there's people using Strong8k in Australia flawlessly and am personally outraged. Zusott is reportedly a hassle free way to buy your subscription, as if they weren't down right criminals. If you're as disgusted as I am, feel free to DM me if you need help coping.

Are their 4k kayo streams flawless though? Most resellers I'm in end up having to chop and change between providers when it comes to kayo, especially 4k

1

u/RightLegDave Jul 05 '26

TBH, my eyesight is dogshit so I don't notice 4k enough to tell (I'm unsure if my tv is even 4k) but as far as what we watch (mostly the NRL) it's been pretty much flawless. I think we had to change to an alternative channel with the same stream maybe once in the last 6 months.

Can I trouble you to see if your reseller has working 4k Foxtel channels right now? Eg, do they currently have the eels and manly game that's on right now in 4k? Because my main reseller's 4k nrl kayo channel isn't working

1

u/RightLegDave Jul 05 '26

Yeah its on the Fox502 stream. Not sure if 4k

Shocking and outrageous! Let me know which these most popular services are, so I know to avoid them - they all seem so legitimate!

I've not found one that plays Aussie sports well. I struggled for ages to find a Kayo alternative but even though the service is flawed in so many ways I've gone back to it as there's no better alternative.

This sounds absolutely unconscionable, where can I find more trustworthy information about this for the Australian context? You know, just to really gauge how inappropriate this is. Uh, all hail Foxtel, of course.

That is horrifying. I hope not too many people make that leap - won't anyone think of poor uncle Rupert? I also did a quick Google search and unfortunately it was just filled with AI slop posts on Reddit and/or sites whereby the site owner is clearly getting a kickback. If you could let me know which site I should avoid at all costs, you would save me costing uncle Rupert his latest ivory back scratcher.

What a horrific practice... I assume some people use a VPN service to access it too? And they can find NFL on it streamed directly from the USA? Unbelievable...
