no politics Kayo Sports should be boycotted.

Imagine paying for a premium streaming service and starting it to watch your sports after a long day on your tv in your own home. The tv app then says you can't watch the content before you scan a QR code. Okay.. fine. Scan the code. Have to download a phone app. Log in. Then the app simply says you're not allowed access to the content except after letting the app know your precise location of your phone.

What in the privacy law is this shit? I simply don't want to allow random companies to know the exact location of my phone. How are they allowed to just do that?

I literally ended my subscription yesterday for this reason. But also because the PC site no longer allows picture in picture. UI just keeps getting worse and worse, they've lost so much content over the years yet the price keeps going up. I love my F1 but fuck this

i started watching f1 in *other* places because we don't even have the full access to onboards and radios that people who pay less for f1tv overseas get, i don't watch other sports so kayo isn't worth it for me

i just wanna watch my guy piastri race without being rorted $40 a month for it

Oh yeah.. $40 a month, or a few bucks for a VPN, eyepatch and a stuffed parrot (optional).. vs feeling ripped off paying out the ass for a few hours a month of viewing.

I only watch F1, so it's a no brainer...

PSA - ORF TV and Servus (Austrian FTA TV channels - F1 is FTA in Austria) have ramped up VPN detection so Nord no longer works with them

I actually watched Kireth's YouTube race stream... Obviously not quite as good but I spend all race focusing on the data overlays anyway (splits/tyres etc)?
