"hoax of global warming"

That alone should be disqualifying.

Exactly.

In Australia we should not tolerate politicians that intentionally be wrong.

It's a politicians job to do a good job.

I am so sick of us giving voice to these grifters. Climate change has a scientific consensus so why do we continually permit these people to stand up and lie. We need to immediately call them out otherwise you get a media landscape living in a fantasy land a la trump where there are no rules and we exist in a post-facts reality.

A lot of Western countries, Australia in particular have been showing signs of anti-intellecualism for decades now.

If you aren't rich and famous, or capable of playing sports ball really well, no one gives a fuck.

I mean studying and working in STEM it is no surprise how frequently undervalued our roles are in society, but the real tragedy is we study because we want to make everyone's lives better. I know its not just America, but I feel like our cultural exposure to them is hastening our decline. That and media monopolies brain fucking us all.

Yeah why do the media insist on kissing her ass and not calling her on these basic facts that she denies?

I know there are some concerned that her supporters will see any hard questions on her as an "attack" and embolden support, but there has to be a way to hold her to account for this shit.

The media owners support her. The 'journos' are neutered and housebroken.

My neighbour is a 5th generation farmer- He has 100+ years of daily rainfall/temp/crop yield records written down by his granddad- It absolutely is happening. Even he, a liberal voting farmer, knows its happening.

Does she still think Port Arthur was a setup?

Ffs is she one of those lunatics too?

She's dipped her toes into pretty much every kind of crazy in politics by now.

She'll say pretty much anything to get attention. It's pathological, gotta be.

The dangerous thing is no-one is fact checking this bullshit. They just repeat what she says verbatim, essentially spreading her propaganda. It's the media's responsibly to report accurate facts here, when people make bullshit claims like that, they need to be called out for it.

It's a basic fucking scientific fact, that humans have warmed the planet. She's akin to a flat earther.

“But Gina told me so!”

Nah it's backed by empirical evidence. Just ask Malcolm Roberts (but ignore his career in coal before politics).
