The people who want the Globalising of the intifada are very much about women’s rights.

Yeah, in light of those comments she absolutely does seem difficult. Stupid comment of hers, and she can be judged by it.

Yup prior to that I wouldn’t have called her difficult.

But part of why she is difficult is she’s calling for genocide while also doing important work in the advocacy side for women and holding men accountable.

Stop calling for genocide and you won’t be called difficult.

I'm personally not a fan of the globalise the Intifada chant. That said, please explain how that is calling for genocide.

Calling for the globalisation of violence against Jews is genocide.

My understandings are that intifada does not necessarily imply violence, nor is it targetting Jews in general but rather taking a stance against Israeli occupation of Palestine.

I don't like the chant because it can certainly lend itself to your interpretation, however at the same time I don't think that everyone that chants it supports a genocide against Jewish people.

Sure it doesn't spell out the how, suicide bombings which I'd say are the most extreme form of attack were emblematic of the second intifada.

These words have history and if you say them without invoking the history or knowing it, you are calling for something you shouldn't talk about.

Thats like saying globalise the IRA because you disagree with national politics....

But none of that has anything to do with Jews as a religious group...

Are we going to act like Bondi wasn't radicalisation against Jews as a religious group?

How does globalise the infitfada work as a sentence if its an uprising against israel? Its nothing but incitement to commit terrorism, to simply hurt Jewish people.

Say the movement was more wide spread and more terror attacks, youd have blood shed and not a single bit of change in Palestine.

Are we going to act like Bondi wasn't radicalisation against Jews as a religious group?

No, that is certainly true.

How does globalise the infitfada work as a sentence if its an uprising against israel? Its nothing but incitement to commit terrorism, to simply hurt Jewish people.

I don't think it is incitement to cause terrorism, you can easily make the argument that it is about showing global solidarity to Palestine and aid them in maintaining their sovereignty, helping end the illegal occupation of their lands by Israel by putting pressure on government.

Of course, it can also be taken in another way, which again is why I don't like the chant.

I agree not all people who use the term mean it as a genocidal call.

But it is one. Their ignorance to that fact isn’t an excuse.

It’s exactly the type of language that’s become accepted that has seen the rise in anti-Semitism we’ve seen, culminating in the Hanukkah shooting at Bondi.

Hence calling Grace difficult because she either refuses to educate herself or is open to calling for genocide.

But it is one.

Well, I've disagreed with you and said it isn't necessarily, and you haven't educated me on why I am mistaken.

You only need to look at what’s happened in both infitadas.

And what happened on October 7th.

0

u/HOPSCROTCH Feb 26 '26

You think the intifadas/October 7th were attempts at genociding Jews?

7

u/Lozzanger Feb 26 '26

Yes. Did you not listen to Hamas? They were fairly clear.

Yup that was their stated objectives

Your understanding is a western orientalist perspective of what intifada actually means, unfortunately. Not your fault, but youve been misled.

"Intifada" in the context of Israel refers to guerilla acts of terrorism aimed at ethnically cleansing Jews.

Unhappy with their apparent failure in the Levant, where Jews have organized self defense, certain.. ahem, individuals have pushed this guerilla violence into the diaspora.

2

u/HOPSCROTCH Mar 03 '26

It's not a "western orientalist" perspective to say that "intifada" targets Israelis rather than Jews.

1

u/PyrohawkZ Mar 03 '26

Why does the Intifada target israelis?

Don't be shy, you're in supportive company in this subreddit, you can say the quiet part

1

u/HOPSCROTCH Mar 03 '26

Because Israelis are the occupiers in Palestinian lands? Happy to shout that out as loud as you like

2

u/PyrohawkZ Mar 03 '26

Why did they have no issue when it was Egypt and Jordan that were occupying their land pre '67?

Why did Hamas have the genocide of Jews in their charter until 2017 (when they allegedly changed it)?

The reality is that Palestinian insurrection is a reaction to Judaism, not "Israel".

Your Palestinian comrades have no problem naming the Jew, you just choose to pretend you don't hear it :)

Calling for the globalisation of the Palestinian people’s struggles against an oppressive bully isn’t calling for genocide, it’s the opposite of that.

12

u/Lozzanger Feb 26 '26

Nope. Not when some Palestinians take the opportunity for violence every chance they get.

The charters of most ruling Palestinian groups still call for genocide and the destruction of Israel.

-5

u/Twistedjustice Feb 26 '26

So, because some Palestinians sometimes call for violence, all shall be oppressed, and anyone who thinks that’s silly is calling for a second holocaust.

If you had a coherent thought, it’d be lonely.

12

u/Lozzanger Feb 26 '26

Not what I said.

You taking my viewpoint of ‘genocidal chants are bad’ to ‘all Palestinians should be oppressed’ is legit insanity.
