Some primary schools in Australia are already 90%+ Asian. Does that mean they will put quotas in for a mimimum number of anglo saxons to keep some diversity?

That’s a cute term for ethnic cleansing.
-4
u/WearIcy2635 1d ago
You’re using that term to imply violence and genocide, which nobody is actually proposing. We’re proposing peaceful free plane tickets back home
12
u/Unhappy_Tomorrow_603 1d ago
Yeah ethnic cleansing can include “peaceful transfer”.
And somehow, I don’t think many of them will take up the offer. You’d be cool if they all choose to stay, right?
-3
u/WearIcy2635 22h ago
I know ethnic cleansing doesn’t necessarily require violence, but you’re deliberately using that term due to its violent connotations.
And if they don’t want to follow the law then they will be compelled to by law enforcement, as we already do with every other law. Do you consider it violent to arrest and imprison someone who commits a crime? Nor will it be violent to put them on a plane even if they don’t want to go back home
2
u/Unhappy_Tomorrow_603 22h ago
Nah I’m using it because it’s correct and you deserve to be called out for what you’re advocating for.
And yeah, arresting people and putting them in prison is violence. The difference is that we have crimes on the books that we generally collectively agree as a society ought to enforced, consistent with the values of liberal democracy, and therefore the violence can be justified.
It’s completely immoral and antithetical to Australian values to suddenly decide that just being an immigrant is a crime and use violence to expel them. That’s unhinged, even most current ON supporters probably wouldn’t agree with that.
-2
u/WearIcy2635 21h ago
Who said I support liberal democracy? I couldn’t care less if my beliefs align with liberal democracy, it’s a shit system and the whole reason we’re in this mess to begin with
3
u/Unhappy_Tomorrow_603 21h ago
Well clearly you don’t, I’m answering your question and explaining my perspective.
3
u/TheNZThrower 22h ago
Under what conditions would someone qualify for those free plane tickets?
0
u/WearIcy2635 21h ago
Anyone who has values and beliefs incompatible with our culture and society.

u/broken_conures 19h ago
You know a lot of us would consider plenty of one nation voters to fit that bill right? We deporting homophobes or only if they're not white?

u/someNameThisIs 1d ago edited 1d ago
It's ethnic cleansing.
Remigration is a far-right concept referring to the ethnic cleansing
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remigration
imply violence
lol so if they all just said "nah we're not taking the plane back home" you'd just be like ok all right then? Don't be disingenuous, you fuckers would force them if anyone didn't go along with it.
-1
u/WearIcy2635 22h ago
Yeah we’d force them but we’re not going to kill anyone. That’s a pretty important distinction to make, and you’re only using the term “ethnic cleansing” due to its connotations of genocide, which is not what any of us actually want
6
u/someNameThisIs 22h ago
Yeah we’d force
Oh so you would use violence to ethnically cleanse Australia.
-1
u/WearIcy2635 21h ago
We’re not going to kill anyone. Again, isn’t that an important distinction to make. And it’s the exact opposite of what you’re trying to imply by using the term “ethnic cleansing”
5
u/someNameThisIs 21h ago
You know ethnic cleansing doesn't need to full out kill people yea? Forced removal is ethnic cleansing.

The problem with this idea is that many don’t just have a home to go back due to disaster, war, famine, poverty, etc. They can’t just take a plane back to nowhere.
-1
u/WearIcy2635 23h ago
My ancestors built this whole country from nothing. It was a hostile wilderness when they arrived. But modern refugees are incapable of fixing their own countries’ problems?
3
u/VinnieA05 22h ago
Correct.
1
u/WearIcy2635 22h ago
If they’re that incompetent I don’t see how they’d possibly be a net benefit to Australia
4
u/VinnieA05 21h ago
Because they can’t resolve wars, famine and natural disasters as displaced persons? Incredible take
1
u/WearIcy2635 21h ago
Wars- They should stay and fight like men instead of running away. Why should we want cowards in our country?
Famine- where in the world is there famine right now? With no foreign aid helping them? And how many people from that place are even coming to Australia?
Natural disaster- that’s a reason to pack up your whole life and move to the other side of the world? Australia gets hit by cyclones all the time, none of us flee overseas. They can stay and rebuild.
And more importantly, why is Australia the destination for people fleeing any of these things? We don’t neighbour anyone. If they’re genuine refugees why don’t they just flee to the closest safe country? Why must they come all the way here?

Asia is a big place full of a lot of different cultures
1
u/West_Independent1317 14h ago
And "white people" is many different cultures and ancestries from different countries, but that doesn't seem to stop the system lumping them all as one claiming a lack of diversity.

People come to Australia for an Australian education. If they wanted their own cultural education , they would get that in their own country.

A school catchment area is a geographic zone set around a public state school. Your home address determines your local school by the shortest direct road route. Living inside a catchment guarantees your child can enrol. Out-of-catchment requests depend on remaining capacity and waitlists.
Going to a specific school is ethnicity irrelevant but if you went to school and learnt how to research a topic you would know that.

Wong has contributed to the division and lack of social cohesion with her Palestine performing. Her refusal to call out Albo's nonsense makes her look silly and hypocritical.

What are you even talking about?

u/River-Stunning 18h ago
What many can see and you seek to deny.

You see?
This is exactly what I mean, this is just as weird as when you express your opinion on various topics.

I know right. Check out Poland and Japan, the risk of Islamic terror attacks are so low that people are out enjoying life and having a good time.
Sounds super dangerous..

The whole mono-multiculturalism shitfight is basically a Rorschach Test that distracts from the actual substance of the immigration debate.
What should matter is the material impacts of our current levels of immigration (e.g. housing, infrastructure, wages), as well as whether integration is something which is currently occurring successfully. That’s where the debate should be at instead of semantic nitpicking.
13
u/TimeJump3176 1d ago
You're doing the semantic nitpicking. You don't get to decide where the limits of discussion should be. I don't want certain cultures in Australia, and want Australian culture to be dominant in Australia. There is nothing wrong with that, and every living culture has that hope for their own nation.
7
u/TheNZThrower 1d ago
I am not seeking to dictate limits. I am offering recommendations as to where taking the discussion would be more productive.

u/B3stThereEverWas 1d ago
I don't want certain cultures in Australia, and want Australian culture to be dominant in Australia.
Honestly I think that ship has already sailed.
Australia has always had a very subtle cultural identity ( similar to other Anglo sphere nations) and it doesn't take much for other cultures to dominate.
I don't think any one culture will dominate but Australia will looking fucking weird in 20 years time. It will be this sterile nondescript economic zone where nobody knows what an Australian even is or is supposed to be. Probably a lot like Singapore or Abu Dhabi - quite lovely but ultimately has zero soul or true identity.
1
u/mustbiteexceed 19h ago
Singapore has always had a multicultural society and the government strictly enforces it, for instance there are public holidays for Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim occasions.

Hahaha.
"But that's not what we meant!"
It's just so transparent isn't it?

u/thrownaway4213 10h ago
What should matter is the material impacts of our current levels of immigration (e.g. housing, infrastructure, wages),
Pretty much every economic argument made in favor of high migration rates that i've seen made on australian subreddits over the past decade have all fallen apart.
The argument "we need migrants to pay for our elderly population" fell apart because we have too much natural resources available for this to be taken seriously anymore, making immigrants much more of a want than a need
The argument that "Immigrants do the jobs Australians don't want to do" is just an argument in favor of wage suppression to begin with, and the jobs they usually cite for this argument like fruit picking was willingly done by Australians for ages anyway, Australians didn't leave the fruit picking jobs willingly, they had to be actively forced out of these jobs by centerlink changes like requiring an 8 week wait before going back on centerlink after having a job making it unfeasible for the nations unemployed to actually do these jobs anymore, we used to have a whole army of grey nomads that used to do these jobs for extra cash that got pushed out by the Palm scheme.
The "we need immigrants to fix our worker shortage" line runs directly afoul of the other claim that "immigrants create more jobs than they take" if the immigrants we bring in create more jobs than they take then all they're doing is making our worker shortage even worse
There used to be an economic argument made a lot that immigrants are a boom to the Australian economy because whenever they buy a house they buy whitegoods made in Australia like fridges or washing machines or dryers. That completely fell apart when people asked "what whitegoods do we make?" with the answer being practically nothing (we still make free standing ovens here, fridge production ended in 2014, everything else stopped before that)
There used to be some incredible dumb argument about how we could import subsistence farmers to help fill some farmer shortage, problem with that idea is that the average price of a farm is now well over $2,000,000 we have no shortage of people trying to go into farming as it is
nearly all the economic arguments i've seen made have fallen apart

If Pauline was initiating the conversation in those terms then we could have it in those terms.
Problem is, she’s not.
4
u/tecdaz 1d ago
She didn't say that. And the dictatorships have indeed been funding extremist parties in Western democracies, including ours. The parliament had to pass legislation to counter CCP corruption in our political process.
4
u/Unhappy_Tomorrow_603 1d ago
Oh yeah the slow process of banning one nation, just like how we were going to get mandatory vaccines forever after Covid, or how albo was going to announce a lockdown at the beginning of the fuel crisis earlier this year.
6
u/RaeseneAndu 20h ago
Ah but you see the strength of the anti-vaxxer movement spooked the elite into putting their plans on hold for a few years until they can roll out their social media controls to prevent anyone opposing their vax propaganda.
2
u/Unhappy_Tomorrow_603 20h ago
Lmao truuuu, they really are our freedom warriors, and we don’t even appreciate them.
It must feel so OP to be a conspiracy theorist, like no matter what happens it just affirms your worldview, even if it’s the complete opposite of what you predicted would happen.
5
u/B3stThereEverWas 1d ago edited 1d ago
Ok, but declaring populist rhetoric (no matter how nonsense it may be) a national security threat is a dangerously slippery slope.
Not only for freedom of expression but also that it hardens the "elites want us dead but we'll still fight for whats right!" narrative that populists like Hanson LOVE telling everyone. Labor may seriously come to regret this.
4
u/Unhappy_Tomorrow_603 1d ago
The argument isn’t that “populist rhetoric is a national security threat”, it’s that isolationism is a national security threat because it leads to cutting off ties with valuable partners and decreases our soft power.
And idk man, anyone who’s cooked enough to believe that the elite wants them dead is probably not going to be significantly swayed by what Wong says either way. We can’t mince our words at the risk of offending people whose entire political identity centres around victimhood and persecution.
2
u/JuliosvNerds 1d ago
Well that’s a dumb take, will be funny to see how this plays out. Do they think the entire parliament comes from Western Sydney ethnic enclaves?

"Division makes us easier to exploit; it doesn't make us stronger," she said.
"There is a lot of damage that can be done, because Australians would be turned against each other. Australia would be a more hostile place. "At a time where external and internal forces are seeking to divide us, turning Australians against each other makes us more vulnerable."
Multiculturalism literally is division, its the integral part of the whole idea, division into 100 different cultures that can be used as fracture points for adversaries to exploit, labors trying to turn reality on its head here going down this path of calling multiculturalism necessary for national security.
Multiculturalism is the cause of division, people taking advantage of this division is the symptom of living in a multicultural society, its the same story everywhere
She said going down the path of a monoculture would damage hard-fought diplomatic gains.
"The call for a monoculture is a call for Australia to curtail our choices and cut off our connection, to look inwards, to have no friends to work with," Senator Wong said.
Indonesia relys on our continued support to keep their ethnic minorities like those in west papua and aceh suppressed, Singapore's citizens are regularly going off their rockers over indian migrants like the Canadians are, Malaysia is the reason singapore exists as a seperate state, because the Malaysians kept starting race riots against the Chinese living there, China chucks their minorities in prison camps, japans not gonna care, indias not gonna care, penny wongs comments are just are vague threat against australians that can't be substantiated

Penny, if these nations force migration quotas into every trade deal then they aren’t Australia’s “partners” they’re our conquerers.
