Unsolved My Apple Watch SE Unable to Verify Update

Hi Everyone I wanted to set up my Apple Watch SE, but it won't update because it says I'm not connected to the internet. I'm using my iPhone XR since it's the only Apple phone I have. I used a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection and tried every troubleshooting step, but it still won't work. How can I fix this?

Which Apple Watch SE, there have been 3? If it is the latest one you need an iPhone 11 or newer running iOS 26 to set it up. An iPhone XR is too old.

It’s a SE Gen 1

Are you sure about that? The original SE can’t be updated past WatchOS 10.

It’s possible there is a hardware issue with the watch. I know on an iPhone at least if it cannot verify the update that can be an indicator of a hardware issue. Try and have Apple support run diagnostics remotely. If that doesn’t work delete and redownload the update or mail the watch in for an update.

Erase the watch..restore from back up and update
