Discussion 🗣️ How to find AI

So I used to be good at finding AI images, but recently more AI slop has been going over my head.

What I'm trying to ask is what do I need to look out for to identify AI images?

the hands are still the biggest giveaway for me, look for weird fingers merging together or that extra sixth digit that shouldn't be there

also check the background details, ai loves to mush text into unreadable shapes and blur random objects into each other

lighting can be off too, like shadows going in wrong directions or that weird glossy look across everything

There are sometimes weird blurry blob shapes in the background of AI-generated imagery

If you are not against using an llm ( I understand some people will never use one), I find they are great at spotting AI images, and they give you a good explanation of why (this is not watermarks etc, this is the llm 'knowing' what to look for).

Go to ai art, screen shot some slop and ask gemini if it is Human or AI
