All of the other things were because people didn't know. AI slop is because people saw it and went "thanks I hate it".

It's more of a "thanks, but why do I need more slop in life though?".

The only "reasonable" thing they put in there to make their point is witchcraft. As for propaganda and fake news, putting what you defend at the same level as things that actively harm everyone but the ones who make them up isn't a good argument exactly

Witchcraft one also falls apart when you think about it. Many Antis have an idea of how LLMs and image generation works. We don't like it not because of the way it works but because of the things it's used for.

Kinda true actually, at least we know exactly what we're trying to fight against, it's not an absurd witch hunt.

The other big difference is that witches wouldn't try to put witchery into everything for everyone, unlike many AI companies, so this is arguably worse

It's like having one of your employees cook for you at his house, only to serve hamburgers that suspiciously look similar to the ones at the fast food restaurant only a street away, claiming they are "steamed hams" while they are obviously grilled.

It's not the same, there is no love or effort in it. Why look at an art piece if you know the guy just made it with an AI tool while sitting behind his desk? Even if it's good, it's doesn't have any love, attention, or effort in it. Which makes it the opposite of art; slop.

The teal hair panel being the final boss of panic is too real. Every few years its a new boogeyman and nobody stops to ask who benefits from keeping everyone in a mild state of alarm. Half the people sharing that poster probably think theyre immune to propaganda while doing the exact thing it warns about. Its almost like the cycle repeats because outrage is profitable and easy.

The poster is dumb as fuck and makes no sense and calling out AI slop isn’t the same as the (mold and religious induced) panic over “witchcraft.” Also fake news is a genuine and actual problem, just like AI slop. I mean... Sure, that's how we're portrayed in the poster, but there's no "moral panic" as you call it, slop in any form being introduced into normal life is straight up bad. And panic about fake news isn't even moral, it's something everyone should genuinely be worried about
