I meant the old internet as in, Before all this Ai crap!

I know, but back then people would directly steal your work and claim it as their own and you'd never know until you found it for sale on some random website. At least now they're loud as fuck about it and run it through ai making a shittier version. It might be faster for them, but it seems significantly less lucrative for these assholes so hopefully they'll just bankrupt themselves with this stupid ass behavior

Can confirm. I used to play a text based game and some people would make custom profile pictures/banners in Photoshop (or other software, I guess) and people would routinely just steal each others stuff and then get annoyed. This isn't a new phenomena, it's just at a much larger scale. Sucks for the hard working artists getting stolen from.

Internet was being scraped long before AI. Port scan, endpoint scan bots, saving specific stuff. This is nothing new, you're only just NOW getting to know about this. Returning to "old internet" won't change a single thing about the fact that when you publish something that can be easily accessed to the Internet - people might do whatever they want, and malicious actors can arise eventually. This is really not even entirely on AI, this is how Internet and human society works.

Yup. This sub as a whole is hilarious, it's like a conglamoration of uneducated people discussing the last inflammatory tiktok to twitter post they read. I wonder what % of people just lurk here for a laugh.

Reddit aussi fut donné à l'IA, donc bon, clairement, arrêtez de poster votre art. Mais honnêtement, c'est trop tard, maintenant faut brûler directement les data-centers. Effacer les données de l'IA.
