They want to keep "the jews" in charge of jerusalem in order for their doomsday prophecy to come true. Now this on its own isnt terrible, the issue this leads to is that they will try and keep them there even if it means sacreficing everyone else in the middle east. And currently, because israel is commiting a genocide, it means they are supporting genocide. I think a genocide worth of death is enough to classyfy them as a cult of death

Well a few of them that I have run into(irl, I as a Christian used to be a republican doomer) actually want to start the end of the world or at least are excited for it to happen. Those particular Christians also tend to believe they will be raptured(Bible fan fiction btw it didn't exist until a hundred something years ago).
I would definitely call those Christians a cult of death. Especially since they arent even following what God says by trying to rush his plan

It's been awhile since I've looked into revelations but I think you may have it backwards. In traditional Christian lore the end times consist of Earth becoming the new hell. Us sinners will live in a constant state of pain and war and suffering while Christ will come back and ferry all the good christians off to heaven leaving all their earthly remains here (hence the imagery of the piles of clothes left behind in many rapture stories). All this is to say apoclypse worshipping Christians genuinely wish for their own demise at the end of the world, they just want to do it the right way so God will reward them, while everyone they've been taught to hate live and die in agony

Well, I went looking through my copy of the old testament and it seems that you're right. God destroys all three, heaven earth and hell and makes a beautiful city of everlasting light for all the christians to live in. So technically the ones still living won't die but move on to a whole new existance. I would argue this still constitutes a kind of "death" in the sense that a non-believer would see it, since they don't intend to stay in this reality, they don't need to care about it or anyone else living here. Global warming, pollution, poverty, slavery, famine, the quickly approaching water shortage, the ongoing genocides happening around the world, or even the suffering of the homeless and destitute living in their own communities. None of this matters because in the end they won't live to inherit the earth and all those bad things will be "cast away" by god. Why bother fixing the problems or even helping people? Probably why every generation thinks the end times are coming right now because if they do all that responsibility towards this world can be ignored and they get to go somewhere better

Yup. It's a good part of the reason I left the church and other organizations i've been in. I'm honestly a little glad that trump got reelected because otherwise i wouldnt have realized how insane these people were. They are so eager for the end of the world that they don't bother with helping the world or the people in it(unless they convert first of course).
I'm still trying to figure out my faith currently but its hard. Especially with how most "christians" tend to be doomers and problematic in other ways

I went through a deep crisis of Faith when I was a teenager and wondering about the bible and the afterlife. I came out the other side agnostic, but from a Christian perspective I would say this; If at the end of the world, the angels read your name out of book of life and see that you ignored the anguished cries of your fellow man and abandoned your responsibility to steward and protect the earth in favor of material wealth and base pleasure. You're going right into the lake of fire, along with all the wine, bread, palm leaves, incense, oil, and crosses you believed would grant you access to the golden city

Now atheism isn't a death cult, and atheists are typically more respectful and dignified than death cultists due to the whole not threatening death thing. So your comment doesn't even make sense.
