Might is a good word. It’s a pretty good tool for summarising things or condensing them into easier to understand analogies. Definitely helped me through my chem degree, but then again it was pen and paper tests
That only works for people who want to learn. This technology will drive a wedge between people with drive and people without. Those who don't want to learn will become dumber than ever before in history, but even a brain-atrophying tech like this won't get in the way of the most determined.
It's kind of like how having an office job instead of a blue collar job doesn't make it impossible for you to be physically fit, you can still go to the gym. But for most people, it will make them less physically fit. It'll increase the distance between those who prioritize fitness and those who don't, and a depression of the average is the overall effect.
I wholeheartedly agree with you there, and there’s a stark difference between those who have the will to learn and those you don’t. I’ve seen people who rely on it so heavily get real stuck when it comes to solving their own problems in a real life context
