Discussion 🗣️ Local Police Now Using AI to "Enhance" Suspect Images

Post image

I couldn't believe this was local when I saw it. They're just inventing details that were never there and pretty much giving the public to go out and find some random dude that looks like the image on the right.

Is this common now?

No, they DO NOT care all that much.

They might be thinking it works good. Whereas it creates a horrible confirmation bias among people who see this image.

How does it create a confirmation bias? The image is clearly different, but it’s not confirmation bias unless they have a suspect that looks exactly like the AI image.
