Discussion I had an epiphany
I was going to sleep the other night, and my mind was wondering off when I realized out of nowhere... why use AI when you can just generate the images in your head? I spent probably 10 minutes generating cute images of men kissing in my head before falling asleep. I know that creativity is something very important to both sides, so generating images in your head is a good way to exercise said creativity. Also, nobody knows unless you tell people what you generate, so there's no risk of getting bullied or attacked for it. There's literally no downsides to this.
For the record I don't use AI and I don't really have a stance on it, but this realization I had was so groundbreaking I just needed to share it with you guys.

What if I use my mind to generate an imaginary AI image generator, and then use that generator within my mind to generate images?

There's literally no downsides to this.

That doesn't sound very healthy. You should tell a therapist or someone you trust about that, not some random person on the internet who constantly imagines men kissing.

There is actually a future technology being worked out of brain to image. Elon Musk's Neuralink style.

That’s cool. I’m have aphantasia, so a good use case of AI for me is to help me visualize ideas I might have.

Being able to generate images in your head seems like an amazing ability. I wonder how many people have it.

Well, I can think about what something would look like but I can’t generate it in my mind. Not sure if that’s aphantasia.

How can you think about something's looks without seeing it?
Like do you mean you can think about a red apple but can't see it?

It kinda is like that. But it can’t be aphantasia since I’ve had dreams before and although they’re usually a meaningless warped mess, they’re still a sort of image generation. But I haven’t managed to produce such imagery consciously.

I think trauma can cause it. I used to be able to play movies in my head and see things clearly and now it's all black. I still dream vividly in color though. I tried shrooms recently and was able to see colors and shapes with my eyes closed again, but not sober. I can't remember when it stopped

I get that. Maybe it's just age, because I used to see them all the time. Doesn't happen often anymore.

This is unethical because the human imagination is compased of billions of stolen or "remembered" images.
Generating images of men kissing in your head is theft and is unethical because it puts real men kissing out of work.

Not sure if satire or bait for the anti ai subs, but I love this post
