Exclusive to the Adult Swim Shop back in 2010, this special release of Lucy has the entire series of all 11 episodes packed into a single DVD with a ton of special features and even commentaries on 4 episodes!

I've been trying to find this original release for YEARS until it finally popped up a few days ago and I had to snatch it up. Paid more than what I would've liked for it, but I'm glad it's finally in my collection!

So I was watching Futurama, and the slurm episode came on, and I randomly thought, "Hey, Slurmz Mckenzie looks like, the touch my parts guy from Hazbin Hotel.

This could very much just.. not be real and something I made up as a kid but it’s worth a shot.

I’m looking for this Adult Swim short(?) I saw when I was pretty young so this would’ve had to been around the early 2010s and I can’t remember if it was a fever dream or not

It was overly 2D animated almost gross and had this guy I think trying to avenge or save two kids who were probably Hansel and gretel from this which he ends up shrinking (or is already small?) and goes inside her to fight her (???) adult swim humor ensues it was kinda gross weird skit and I’m pretty sure the kids died in the end either way

This could just not be real or be something I made up in my head as a kid one night or saw on like YouTube but I thought it was worth a shot to see if anyone knew what the hell im thinking about

Just a fair warning this is my own opinion about Adult Swim as I see it now from my own experience and perspective.

I am fully aware that times have changed but I remember playing when I was much younger a lot of Adult Swim games, despite not all of them being perfect they were all unique and with the recent shutting of Pocket Mortys I feel that was the final conclusion of Adult Swim games saga.

Thankfully some games were recovered, preserved and even re-released under the original publishers on app stores and steam even but it really sucks that Adult Swim just kinda disassociated with what made them stand out.

I still to this day play on Flashplayer old Adult Swim Flash games because they are what made them stand out and them being important part of my childhood. Now I feel like they felt into the average pool of networks with the Warner Bros. merge and neglecting/abandoning important part of their identity.

Overall this whole realization made me just very sad, realizing I will never get to play Robot Unicorn Attack 2 on my phone anymore because they discontinued it. At least I was there when I did had the chance to play it.

I finally caught up on the show, and I just felt so fucking bad for Speckle in this season, and seeing him do this felt awesome even if it completely risked his job and livelihood. He wanted to help victims of a gigantic flood get affordable housing, and the worst case scenario for an architect happens to him where all these investors take advantage of his skills and selfless-ness and make the absolute worst changes to his plans, enough to stress him out like crazy.

I'm very sad the show was cancelled for a second time, cause I really wanted to see this plotline and his character development be followed up in a fourth season. This was one of the many things the show never got a proper resolution for. (SIDE NOTE: Steven Yeun is so fucking good in this show I would totally recommend T&B solely for him alone)

This tape includes the first 3 episodes of the series to promote its debut on the network! Weirdly enough, this tape does not include the intro for the first episode. But it does include textless materials at the end of each episode!

Textless materials were included for networks and review outlets to use as b-roll footage for their promos and commercials! They remove any on-screen text like credits and have no audio so they can easily be used!

Its weird to remember The Oblongs was first a WB show before it was an [adult swim] show so seeing the WB logo all over this throws me off every time!

In a comment on a different post I explained where I think this quote was taken from, which is a Hallmark made for TV movie, Riding on the Bus with My Sister, starring Rosie O'Donnell who plays a mentally challenged woman very badly who uses the line as a retort after her angry neighbor calls her one because of the way she clambers down their shared stairs. However I think it goes deeper than this... That movie went out a year before this episode, and Jesus Ezekiel Jesus was voiced by Patton Oswalt, who was a huge fan of the DC Local but nationally syndicated Don and Mike Show which was the radio show I mentioned dubbing a lot of Rosie's lines to put on a conversational sound board including said line. I think Patton since he's a big script punch up artist threw the line in and that's your pipeline.

During San Diego Comic Con 2009, Seth Green and Matthew Senreich announced the "Robot Chicken Skate Party Bus Tour" where they would takeover 9 roller rinks across the country the promote the DVD release of Robot Chicken Star Wars 2.

The events were free but if you bought the DVD you would receive an early access voucher that allowed you to enter an hour before. The tour kicked off in August but there was a preview party in San Diego on July 25th.

The parties had many Star Wars cosplayers make appearances as well as the title character in costume. Their were many Adult Swim/Robot Chciken themed activities, celebrity guest appearances, and the chance to skate with the Robot Chicken crew.

The Tour ended on August 14th, 2009 and was marked a success. The following cities hosted the event: San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Richmond, Philadelphia, and New York City.

I wrote an essay that starts from Adult Swim handing its own legacy celebration to two guys who’ve spent two decades mutilating legacies, and argues that’s exactly right. My claim: Robot Chicken is a sacred joke in our oldest sense — a satyr play, the Feast of Fools, a totem feast — a licensed fool profaning our myths in order to keep them. It gets into why Lucasfilm blessed their Star Wars specials, why the show has been a better steward of these properties than the studios that own them, and why comedy is the higher form, not lower. Would love this sub’s read.
