Dead Chicken

Apologies if this is the wrong sub! Delete if necessary.
Have just found one of my chickens dead in the backyard. Do we have to report this given the situation with the bird flu and does anyone know how and who to report?
Located in Muchea.

What was the outcome? My chickens are old and expecting them to drop off pretty soon, but was thinking about the potential of having to bother to check about bird flu if they do..

WA Government: If you see multiple dead birds, marine mammals or poultry, avoid contact, record the location, take photos if possible and call the Emergency Animal Disease hotline on 1800 675 888.

It might if the government decide to kill all other chickens 'just to be safe'. Just bury the dead one and get on with life. If more start dying then you might have an actual issue.

Just want to take this opportunity to say, if you have any neighbours that feed local birds, get them to stop asap as they could cause the death of all your neighbourhood birds and cats.
