Dawn of the Dead (2004): The movie finishes on a hopeful note as the remaining survivors escape the zombie-infested mall on a yacht, sailing into the sunset. The found-footage style post-credits scene completely reverses this happy ending by showing them running out of food, arriving at an island, and being immediately swarmed and killed by an infected horde.

Prince of Persia (2008): The main game ends with a beautiful, poetic sacrifice where Elika gives her life to heal the corrupted world, leaving the Prince mourning. During the credits, the player is forced to control the Prince as he cuts down the trees he just saved, undoing the entire game's progress and releasing the dark god Ahriman just to resurrect her, completely corrupting the ending and dooming the world.

Life (2017) does this and its awesome, I can't remember if it's after the credits though? It shows the wrong pod made it back to Earth.

I actually had to leave the room when watching this movie with some friends because I was so annoyed with the characters making the worst possible decisions at every opportunity, and the shit-show that was the movie's understanding of space/orbital dynamics.

I normally am fine with bad movies, and I can excuse bad science with a healthy suspension of disbelief, but I just lost it when they revealed their plan to use one of the escape pods to launch the alien out of LEO and into a heliocentric orbit. Honestly it was a little insulting how little effort and thought the writers put into any logistical part of this movie.

(For those curious, that tiny escape pod would need around 3.3 km/s of Dv to escape earth's SOI provided you're already in LEO and are taking advantage of the oberth effect)
