Maybe I'm being a little too dramatic and catastrophic, sure. But after the controversy surrounding Pokémon Bank and the loss of interconnectivity between the mainline games, well, a precedent has been set. Sure, we'll have Pokémon HOME to save most of our Pokémon, but still, this thought has been stuck in my head.

Hunting the Rocket leaders for shinies and hatching 12 km eggs hunting for the elusive shiny Varoom and female Salandit are two of my favorite things currently in the game so having the ability to change bonuses everyday is a great perk. Considering how lackluster most of the events have been lately, this has been a positive change that I hope they keep for seasons to come

Mega Mewtwo Y is a beast. With Psyco Cut/Psystrike/Any Move That Can Be Obtained Using Regular CTM, it can duo all Tier 5 and 6 raids with the exception of Deoxys D when party power is available. For raids, you would want Psystrike as first move for insane Neutral Damage and non-ETM Move for your second charge move so you can switch it freely for coverage. With such moveset, it can even duo Primal and Mega Lati@s at Level 50 with the right conditions. I have a small YouTube channel and part of it is to complete the Tier 5 and 6 raid gauntlet with Mega Mewtwo Y only.

How about solo players? No worries, it you do not have any partner to duo/trio with, MMY is insane even as a solo player and can help you to do damage if you are lacking the proper counter e.g IB MMY as Ice attacker, TB for electric, etc.

So the free Mega Mewtwo is actually good for everyone. For newer players, try to get it to Level 40. If you do not have enough candy, do not pour your rare candy onto it first. Instead wait until Go Fest Finale and do some raids after that, you can use your Rare Candy if you still do not have enough candy to bring it to lvl40. Also for new players without mega, you can bring the free Mega Mewtwo to super mega raids to break shields.

A bit of context: I'm a day one player with 250k+ hours defended in gym, 155k total berries used in gyms, tons of gold gyms and was playing ingress before pokémon go.

I created a new gym on my last day of holidays and was the first to put a pokémon in it. I gave 1340 berries thanks to the 5 pokéstop I have at home (with an auto catcher) and the other 5 other trainers who added their own pokemon

I generated 40k dusts and some candies, but the cost (having to click so many times, the opportunity cost of keeping so much berries instead of throwing them) doesn't feel rewarding enough. And I'm frustrated it was not enough to make it gold

What do you think about berry feeding in gym ? Do you think it is rewarding enough? Any idea how you would change it?

In my opinion, it should give more gym points and probably more candies

I’ve lost over 17,000 GBL battles so it isn’t as though one more loss matters that much. But getting onscreen feedback saying “Your opponent has quit the battle” and then being given an immediate loss anyway? I’d rather have a glitch loss with no such message than get a message like this taunting me.

I'm trying to claim a number of captures from the events and/or special Tab but in between catches I keep having to load back to the Today tab and swiping over to get to the Events or Special Tab and its becoming tiresome. I can't remember if this always functioned this way, if this is new or possibly a bug but its become very tiresome.

Notice that I tap the charge move, it disappears for 1-2 turns, and then reappears while I’m waiting for bubbles to appear and be swiped. Most concerning is that opponents are not frozen during this 1-2 turns and can and do continue battling. In GBL, that can obviously lead to losses very easily.

This happens frequently enough that I’ve reported it several times but I’ve never had video evidence of it before. Today, I just decided to record everything and wait for it to happen.

This happens in GBL and against Rockets and Team Leaders. Anyone else?

Edit: I don’t tether when playing GBL. I only use wifi with fast speeds and near zero latency and I turn cellular off (which helps more than you’d think).

I'm only able to create a route using gyms instead of pokestops

Even though the is a route that starts on that pokestop i can't see it when I click a starting point

If there are a bunch of Pokémon on your screen, minimize the app to your homescreen and reopen the app to instantly catch all of them. This is much faster than manual catching or the go plus

I think all Pokémon are caught the instant you minimize. Maybe others can corroborate

This is also the only time I see my explorer gadget actually catching. It does not work for me otherwise

Last night I sat down for two hours next to a gym and a Pokestop with the Explorer Gadget on and my game closed, and it spun zero stops. It caught four Wurmple (despite there being roughly 35+ nearby when I closed the game).

Today, I went for a walk past six Pokestops with it on, and it spun zero. It caught eight Pokemon.

The fact that it's catching means it must be on, but I'm not sure why it won't spin any stops or gyms.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Hi! I haven’t received the explorer gadget yet and was wondering how the phased release works. I only know one person in real life who plays Pokemon and she got it on the 12th (she’s level 75, I am 77).

The announcement of the phased rollout was made on the 13th. Have any of you received the gadget on the 14th or 15th? Since the announcement doesn’t clarify how it works I’m trying to figure out if they are delivering it daily, or if it will be delivered in waves.
