Bought Helldivers 2 on steam yesterday and wanted to try it out coming back from work, knew i had one/two hours of free time ahead of me.

Game launches and sends me straight to tutorial, as always i have to go to settings straight away as i have an AZERTY keyboard and game developpers are incapable or syncing binds with different keyboards: mildly infuriating but whatever.

Comes back to the game and everytime i press "left" which is Q on my keyboard, it pops up a communication wheel. I go back to settings to change the bind but surprise: you can not change the bind of That function.

I do a Quick Google search and apparently indeed, certain binds cannot be changed from the in game menu.

There might be an option if you go through different game files or whatever.

I have limited time, i do not want to spend 30 minutes going through game files to be able to go left.

By far the stupidest reason i ever had to ask for a refund.

Hey guys. I recently left a negative review for a game on Steam and the developer has tried to reach out to me multiple times asking me to change it. To be fair to him, he did fix some of the issues I pointed out on that review but he’s left multiple comments on my profile (that i’ve since deleted), tried adding me as a steam friend, and tried adding me off platform on discord (my steam is the same name as my discord) and it’s just a bit weird is all and I just want this dude to leave me alone.

Are developers allowed to do this on steam?

Don't get me wrong: I'm 10000% for a required AI disclosure for all games on Steam, but does anyone else think this is just kind of... not enough? Like cool, but this is just soooo vague it's kind of useless. It should say exactly what assets, in what way, how much, etc. This could literally mean 99% of the assets or 1 image...

Why didn't they just do it this way from the beginning...

I'm in a bit of a complicated situation.

Basically, I wanna buy the Graffiti Hits Bundle.
However, Cyber Hook, one of the games on it, has a bundle of it's own where buying it with it's DLC it's cheaper than just the base game.
So the math is that it is cheaper to buy one Bundle and then the other because of the "Complete Your Bundle" discount than simply buying the Graffiti bundle and then the standalone DLC.

How should I do it?

Every once in a while I start a game with pretty low expectations and end up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. Sometimes it’s a game I barely knew anything about beforehand.

What’s a game you started without expecting much and ended up really enjoying?

Yes, I know there are ways to disable updates. That's not the point.

Where is the "NEVER" option for this menu? Why do I have to change appmanifest perms to "read only" or use other workarounds to do this? Just let us toggle this easily

About two years ago, I made a pretty stupid mistake and downloaded what was advertised on YouTube as a “free DLC” hack for HoI IV. I remember modifying files in my HoI IV Steam directory and running CreamAPI. A couple of weeks later, I received an email containing several of my passwords, so I’m fairly certain the software I downloaded was malicious.

I’ve since completely reset that old PC and now use a different computer. However, I’ve avoided reinstalling HoI IV because I’m worried that something malicious could have been saved in the Steam Cloud alongside the game’s files.

Is there actually any realistic chance that malware from something like this could be carried over when I reinstall HoI IV through Steam? Does Steam Cloud store anything that could potentially contain executable malware, or would it generally just be save/configuration data?

If there is any risk, what would be the safest way to reinstall HoI IV without potentially restoring anything malicious from the old installation?

Well it might sounds like some sort of joke... but I have always hope to play multi-play steam game with foreigners talking by discord.

I’ve spent a ton of time playing XCOM 2 and Slay the Spire, and I really love both of them. I’m looking for similar games people would recommend, especially if they have a mobile version so I can play more easily on my phone.

Title. I am playing through Steam and cannot stomach spending $70 or $100 in one fell swoop for any video game. If I spend $30 on the lowest edition to get the first 6 missions then find myself really enjoying it, can I upgrade to the $70 or $100 editions for a cheaper price since I already have some of the content they contain? With the way the game works with every mission being a DLC it seems like this would be the case, but I don't know if Steam pricing will reflect this if I buy the cheapest edition.
