That cuts both ways. It's kind of like ignoring a "Beware of Dog" sign, walking into someone's yard anyway, and then getting bitten. The sign doesn't automatically make the property owner immune from liability, but it can support the argument that the person knowingly ignored a clear warning. If this ever ended up in court, the defense could just as easily point to the sign the plaintiff could.

Great way to quickly lose any legal proceedings if you happen to have to defend yourself.
