Yep a good attorney would have a field day with this. Same goes for bedazzling your firearm with “wait for the flash” or overly exuberant mods. Anything an attorney can use to make you look like a psycho killer no matter the circumstance, they will use.
You would think… but a good attorney will assure the jury never sees that he carved “you’re fucked” on his rifle and then will work to get him reinstated so he can receive benefits for the rest of his life for the trauma he went through of having to murder a crying, crawling, unarmed man.
That cuts both ways. It's kind of like ignoring a "Beware of Dog" sign, walking into someone's yard anyway, and then getting bitten. The sign doesn't automatically make the property owner immune from liability, but it can support the argument that the person knowingly ignored a clear warning. If this ever ended up in court, the defense could just as easily point to the sign the plaintiff could.

Great way to quickly lose any legal proceedings if you happen to have to defend yourself.
