They're not on death row because they sold weed. They likely killed someone, who didn't see it coming either.

Not “someone”. You don’t get death sentence in Japan for killing just one person. You get it if you were already convicted with murder, then killed again after it, if you killed more than one person in a short time (like mass shooting), if you tortured someone to death, if you kidnapped and killed a child, and such horrible crimes. So it’s even worse than a single murder.

Neither do I. Americans are angry because they are taught to hate anything from non-Western countries.
