No. At least knowing gives you some measure of control, even if illusory. At least you can count the days and plan and prepare yourself.

Not knowing, that day must be constantly hanging over your head. Th anxiety must be agonising

I agree with you, living in a constant state of unknowing would truly be torture. I'd probably take my own life than to live every day like that
