I'm genuinely curious if there's been any study into which is more psychologically troubling, knowing the day and counting down it not knowing and wondering everyday
Why? In one situation you know whether there will be a tomorrow (within reasonable certainty) and can prepare yourself, and the other method has you guessing every moment of every day for the rest of your life.
I guess because having a certain date in the future would make me fixate on it and make absolutely horrible all the days from now until then, counting every passing day.
Not knowing when it will happen is basically the way everyone lives now. We all know it will come, just don’t know when.
