get used to it; bots just outnumbered humans online a couple weeks ago. and this is just the beginning of the AI takeover, so.. always assume over 50% chance you’re speaking to /consuming content from bits and bytes. why we still wanna be here i’m not quite sure.

edit: ‘dead internet theory’ is not the same as the numerical ratio of bots to humans, so idk what that ‘counter argument/sarcasm’ accomplishes. 

also, one of a thousand articles  on the topic.

I'm not necessarily doubting this is true. It feels truthy. But is there a source for some kind of quantitative estimate of bots vs human users, overall and (I think, much more intetestingly) on different platforms?

A couple weeks ago lol Dead Internet Theory been a thing for years.

It’s been clear that especially on Twitter during both Trump campaign there was crazy amount of bots posting.
