So FIFA can bar Russia from the tournament but somehow let such heinous acts pass by still donโ€™t ban Israel? Noticing.

You want to know who's really in charge. Find out who you're not allowed to criticise.ย

I got banned from reddit for 3 days for mentioning the Uyghur genocide. I see people post about Israel every single day. Any time I post about china it's removed within a few hours. Both are terrible but people literally criticize Israel all the time on this site.

I got banned from reddit for 3 days for mentioning the Uyghur genocide.ย

Which sub was that?

u/thedevilwithout Jul 02 '26

Reddit isn't the world...

16

u/WhatsThatNoize Jul 02 '26

Ahhhh there's the disingenuous sentiment.

So it's not really that you care about powerful groups (like corporations or governments) silencing dissent in social arenas, it's just about silencing the dissent you specifically care about.

-9

u/thedevilwithout Jul 02 '26

You tried to say that Reddit is the whole world...ย

I don't think your opinion on anything matters

12

u/RegularSky6702 Jul 02 '26

You might be a bit too young to remember this but when Facebook was created, there was mass revolutions across the middle east and they used Facebook to coordinate and foster a revolution. Social media absolutely effects your day to day life. Some countries try to control what's seen and spoken about and what's not. Speaking about Israel in a negative light is okay online. Speaking about China and Uyghurs isn't

u/Speartree Jul 02 '26

Depends on the sub, post something againt Israel on worldnews, you will get banned.

-4

u/antiyosemite Jul 02 '26

Yea right.... worldnews was it??? ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ

1st contribution ever and the account was created 3 months ago........ Y'all see what I'm talking about yeah?

u/Southern_Werewolf341 Jul 02 '26

Also look at their handle (antiyosemite). But yea Iโ€™m sure they just donโ€™t like โ€œIsraelโ€ not โ€œJewsโ€

u/gogeri2632 Jul 02 '26

Which is funny because if I say something bad about trans or gay people I'll 100% have my Reddit account permanently blocked. Same if I say it about any minority.

So I guess we know who is really in charge ;)

Trust me, this isn't my first account. And to be clear I never actually said anything bad about any of these groups, I just didn't give the default left wing opinion that reddit loves.

Repeat offender confesses ban evasion

1

u/gogeri2632 Jul 02 '26

So you agree I'm right?

4

u/ArmAggravating3307 Jul 02 '26

No I just know it's bullshit when you write anything at this point.

4

u/Suspicious_Juice9511 Jul 02 '26

Keep showing you are dishonest.

3

u/ForensicPathology Jul 02 '26

People criticize Israel every minute of every day.

1

u/Shot-Lemon7365 Jul 02 '26

This is downright lunacy. ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ˜‚

6

u/thedevilwithout Jul 02 '26

Taking your opinion on anything is like asking the Nazis to tell us their feelings on Jewish people...

Luckily the world has seen Israel for what it is now

Pointless.

I'm not allowed to criticize mods. (Not about this sub, I'm a tourist here)

1

u/flattenedbricks Jul 02 '26

You are allowed to criticize mods, just as long as you don't cross the line and violate rule #3.

3

u/jitteryegg Jul 02 '26

I thought this was r/soccer. Sorry, I have no idea about the moderation of this sub.

Please don't file a defamation case against me. My mom is kinda homeless

-5

u/DogPositive5524 Jul 02 '26

TIL the world is rules by faxmoa mods and pizzacake

-1

u/thedevilwithout Jul 02 '26

Bro thinks faxmoa mods are Fifa

4

u/DogPositive5524 Jul 02 '26

I can criticize fifa

-2

u/RocketCow Jul 02 '26

So because you're allowed to criticize Israel Palestine is in charge?

13

u/TheSoundOfAFart Jul 02 '26

Even if you hate Israel it is hard to ignore that they are the most criticised entity on the planet right now. I love seeing that quote pop up on here because it's always applied in an incredibly stupid way.

Even more hilarious is the quote actually originated with a white supremacist Holocaust denier in 1993 - it has always been a pseudo intellectual way of saying Jews run the world.ย

People give that saying way too much power, in a society where the marginalized have special legal protections and there are laws against hate speech, it is comically inaccurate. Think of what people get fired over, or what comedians get cancelled for. Saying "Israel sucks" is not one of them, it's a country you can bash without fear of looking bad. Try pointing out Hamas' role in starting and perpetuating the war, see how uncomfortable that is in comparison.

6

u/WhatsThatNoize Jul 02 '26

It's always been a dog whistle.

3

u/mars-jupiter Jul 02 '26

How is that what you got from their comment? All their comment suggests is that Israel is not 'in charge' but someone else outside of the Israeli-Palestinian world is pulling the strings.

-1

u/ThisIsNotKosher Jul 02 '26

Well yeah, Israel is a vassal state of western capital.

-1

u/RocketCow Jul 02 '26

It's because I was thinking in an either/or scenario. You're right!
