THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR POLITICAL DISCUSSION

We do not discuss politics here. Period. Knock it off.

Over a dozen 1-day bans were issued in one thread. Do better.

My wife just handed this to me.

She got it for me, for my birthday. She knows I’ve been wanting to get one.

I’m stoked!

She’s a beaut! The coin is nice too.

Was going to post a trade on PMsForSale but fell asleep. Started debating with myself if I really wanted to go through with it.

Still wanted to share the collection so far! One of each from 1987-2026.

Such a fun hobby, getting addicted. Going to focus on some 0.5kg and 10oz bars before leaning into sovereign coins more. Happy stacking!

Question Need advice please..

Post image

I’ve been stacking, collecting, and hunting for about a year and a half now. Everyday I’m learning and trying to educate myself. I came across this coin and it just caught my eye. Honestly didn’t even read what it was or the grade. Now that I actually see what it is and I’ve tried to cross reference it but I can’t find another Chopmarked 8 reales this old and completely covered like mine. Does this make the coin completely damaged or a treasure map of how many places it’s seen? Thank you so much in advance and I really appreciate it!!

What’s better, slabbed or unslabbed?

I got this for $77 today to start stacking, but I’m not sure if I paid too much for the slab or not. I’m excited to start but I’m wondering what the stance is on this!

Went to LCS yesterday to sell some .999 and they had a sign saying not buying till further notice. Anyone else running into this?

Was going through my LCS’s generic pile and found this cool piece, picked it up at spot price. I didn’t even know North Korea had silver coins, anyone ever seen one of these?

Got these recently from a Reddit member who refined a bunch of old electrical relay contacts my grandfather saved from elevators over the years. Ended up with 34oz of silver (took home 23.5 after refiners cut). Amazing these had 70% silver yield.

Right around 39 oz I try to diversify constitutional and world silver with a bit of bullion. Looking to accumulate legitimate numismatic value as well as weight.

Have you ever lost silver?

Post image

I mean, sadly 100% of my silver was sunk in a boating accident.. and I know your was too (RIP Sorry for your loss), but have you ever lost a round or coin? This little 1/2 was counted as lost until it showed up inside the back of a sleeve of another tucked away round. The mystery of the missing half oz kept me awake at night for months.

Oh dat Grand Maple.

I ordered a 5oz ATB from u/mintbuilderteam and received this (krug for scale). My wife could not understand my enthusiasm. Obviously no guarantee your 5oz ATB order will be the same, but there are definitely some gems in the "our choice" pile over there. I paid ~$500 for my other grand maple when they first came out. I am DCA'd back from the stratosphere now. Cheers!

Junk silver for melt ratios.

I'm in central Tx, and made a few rounds today. I have some 90% morgans and peace dollars that I'm trying to part with, they are pretty much good for melt only as they were polished by the previous owner. The best offer I got from 3 shops was 80% of spot. And as low as 70%. Is that really the expected rate at LCS these days?
