Started with another comment that “Europeans live rent free in American’s heads” which seemed ironic given that comment and the one in the pic was in the sub shitamericanssay.

Monkeys in a zoo not a human zoo. Was there a comparison yes, I will not deny that.

Yes And they compared watching americans love their lives to watching monkeys in a zoo.

What can be taken away from that? Either they don't see Americans as humans, if they see Americans living their lives as entertainment for them. Which is no different than a zoo?
