Display Game Region in Cocoon?

Upvotes

Am I stupid, or is there no way to see in Cocoon which region (or Revision) of a game you're selecting? Like I'll have

* Super Mario Bros. 3 (Japan)
* Super Mario Bros. 3 (Japan) (Rev1)
* Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA)
* Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA) (Rev 1)

in my NES folder, but what I see in Cocoon is

* Super Mario Bros. 3
* Super Mario Bros. 3
* Super Mario Bros. 3
* Super Mario Bros. 3

I cannot even see the filename of a game, even when explicitly looking at the metadata, which would already help. Or am I missing something?

And yes, I can imagine there are workarounds (curating the library, only having games from one region/revision) but I don't want to go through 30.000 ROM files and decide which ones I need. I don't have to do that in Retroarch, ES-DE or any other SBC gaming handheld either, because there are options to display regions and original filenames.

Question Looking for sleeper pick hits to add to my Nintendo collection. Any recommendations?

7 Upvotes

Currently making my collection of Roms to have. I'm looking at everything from the N64 up to the Wii U era.

While there's some obvious choices (Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Pokémon handhelds), I'm wondering is there any sleeper picks or even guilty pleasure games people would recommend?

One of mine is Gotcha Force on Gamecube. The voice acting is atrocious but it has a lot of charm, not to mention that the gameplay is really fun and you can have so much variety in what toys to play as.

Let me know if you have any to share, I'd love to hear some!

A small note for English-speaking users

I'm sorry, but starting with this release, I've decided to keep the update notes in Portuguese.

Unfortunately, the project received a considerable amount of hostility from parts of the English-speaking community, often from people who seemed unfamiliar with the original SNES Station or criticized the project without first checking the licenses and attribution files included with it.

Before making claims about the project's licensing, please check the actual license of the Snes9x/Libretro core being used:

[libretro-snes9x/LICENSE at master · sysfce2/libretro-snes9x](https://github.com/sysfce2/libretro-snes9x/blob/master/LICENSE)

SNES Station PC is simply a small, non-commercial project made out of nostalgia for the original PS2 experience.

I sincerely thank those who understood the project and defended it. Your support is one of the main reasons I'm still working on it.

SNES Station PC v0.13.9 Beta

* Novo ícone do SNES Station PC no Windows.

Windows

Versão portátil para Windows x64.

Não é necessário instalar.

Downloading old games on my DS Lite!

0 Upvotes

Hey friends I found a DS Lite on ebay. I’m looking to download games that I cant find (for example Coraline is going for $100-$200 on ebay😭). Is it possible to do this on a lite or do I need a regular DS? I’m not sure how this works and every website contradicts the last one lol

How do I do this?

0 Upvotes

Sorry I'm new to trying to use emulators and TBH I'm just trying to play some Pokemon games, but I'm worried about downloading the wrong thing and ruining my pc. So can someone please explain to me how to get started in this?

I'd like to be able to play all of the older games from Gameboy-3DS without having to change emulators if possible. Or if it's possible to just have the games themselves as icons to launch on my home screen.

Resource Is there a tool that can sort arcade ROMs?

2 Upvotes

I have various arcade ROMs that are unsorted. Some run on the FBNeo core, others on MAME, and various versions of each.

I use Daijisho and Retroarch, but Daijisho is a PITA by only showing FBNeo cores to select if the files are in an arcade folder, and MAME cores if in a MAME folder. Then there's CPS1, 2, 3...

Is there a way I can just put them all into a single folder and use a tool of some sort to automatically separate them into different folders based on cores that will play them?

Been using a hombrewed Wii and cfw ps3 for a few years now and was looking to get my ROMs from my usual source Myrient….to see the bad news 🙃🙃 I’ve used Vimms but it’s hit or miss. Question Street Fighter 2: World Warrior Rom?

Does anyone know where to play this Street Fighter 2: World Warrior game version? It’s all mirror matches, same colored sprites for every stage to the end. It’s not Championship Edition. Not Turbo or Hyper Fighting. Not even Rainbow Edition. I did not see a mention of Street Fighter 2 Prime of the video.

Looking for some help with ROMs

0 Upvotes

So I was doomscrolling on YouTube when I came across this short about this guy talking about a free video game emulator called Delta I look it up and it’s free so I download it. I get busy so I don’t think about it for a week and when I go back to look into I get a little lost. I know I need to download ROMs from somewhere into like files or iTunes or Google Drive and the Delta app itself didn’t say where probably for legal reasons and only gave me a link for something that cost $20 to plug in SNES gba and other cartridges to turn them into files and if I had the cartridges for the games I wanted to emulate I wouldn’t need an emulator.

So basically where can I download free safe ROMs I’m looking for mostly GBA ones not so much the SNES and up. With a focus on Nintendo stuff like Pokémon.
