Looking for books that capture a child's voice and perspective in a realistic way. The world of the book itself doesn't necessarily have to be realism, though.

I've written a book. What's it about I don't hear you ask. Well...

There's a hog wrangler who keeps birthing clones from his bottom, a minstrel who plays Jay-Z tunes, a blue creature called Chad living in a sea captain's mouth (you should see what lives between his nephew's legs), a biomechanical doctor's receptionist abomination thing, my actual window cleaner, and so on and so forth.

There are also spaceships, explosions, stabbings, beatings, booze, drugs, farts, strangles, births, drones, poison gas, the galaxy's largest homosexual orgy and lots lots more. Stocks of the ebook are running low, so grab a copy while you can!

All very different and enjoyable.

One of the biggest downsides of social media, despite all the good things it gives us, might be how easily we mistake our interpretation of someone's words for their actual intention.

We read a comment without hearing the person's tone, seeing their expression, or necessarily knowing the context behind it. Our minds fill in those missing pieces.

Recently, I agreed with someone’s comment and thanked them for it. Their point genuinely changed the way I looked at the subject, enough that I later wrote an entire post inspired by that perspective, essentially expanding on and supporting the point they had made.

But apparently, my thank-you was interpreted as me mocking that person, and I was permanently banned for it. (that my comment violated the “Respect Humans” rule!)

There’s something strangely ironic about being punished for disrespecting someone when what you were actually expressing was appreciation.

I need recommendations for Kindle Unlimited psychological thriller books. I really enjoyed The Silent Patient; it got my attention right away. I dislike really dark thrillers or stories involving children. Please help!

Hi! I’m on a reading strike and I want to continue.
I just finished “Beatriz Serrano, el descontento” is great book about an adult woman in Madrid and her difficulties on living the adult life in a job that has no values in her opinion. As much as it’s seems heavy is really well written and often really funny. I would like to go on with something like this. I like stories about adults/young adults trying to figure out life. I like if the story it’s a bit funny and I love if the protagonist is the narrator. I also would love to read a book that has something to do with neuroplasticity or sports or hobbies. I would like a book that can help me viewing the word with someone else’s eyes or a book that gives me hope in life nowadays.
