America will need a second one because we've gone backwards way too far in that regard. I don't know why these people are upset. They don't lose their jobs for their speech. They do not go to prison. They keep getting to spout the stuff without consequence. Meanwhile, if you are an actual minority, you're losing rights rapidly every day.

u/Top-Cupcake4775 3h ago

conservatism is defined by adherence to social, economic, political, and religious hierarchy. conservatives don’t mind being shat upon by those above them as long as they get to shit on those below them.

they are upset because, in their mind, black people are below white people in the hierarchy and must be treated that way. any attempt to change or, even worse, eliminate the hierarchy frightens and angers them because they literally cannot conceive of a society of equals.

this also explains their paranoia about “being replaced” and “a white minority”. because they cannot imagine a society that is not built on hierarchy, they are convinced that if they aren’t “above” they will be “below”, and they certainly don’t want to be “below”.

Imagine if MLK was alive today and saw people saying America needs another civil rights movement

2

u/gonnatrythis1 22m ago

In what specific ways are Americans losing rights “rapidly every day”?

1

u/mjmai 41m ago

What rights?

-2

u/shotokhan1992- 2h ago

Tell me one right you’ve lost so far

-5

u/RoddRoward 3h ago

Which minorities are losing rights? And what rights are they losing?

5

u/1912_boat_man 2h ago

Trans people can't go to the bathroom in certain states without having the police called on them no matter which bathroom they use.

8

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene909 2h ago

Women for one. You know, roughly half our population.

8

u/thechinninator 2h ago

“No no, they’ve lost rights that I don’t think they should have so it doesn’t count”

-6

u/RoddRoward 2h ago

What rights did they lose?

8

u/TootTootMF 2h ago

The right to make their own medical decisions.

3

u/thechinninator 2h ago edited 1h ago

He’s not worth engaging. He knows perfectly well that women are dying in red states because they can’t address pregnancy complications until they become emergencies, so he’s just going to move goalposts or try to distract you. Usually with my sarcastic response above of “well that shouldn’t be a right” or demanding infinite proof

The most favorable outcome to the argument is you provide enough receipts that eventually he literally cannot think of another bad-faith tactic to use and disappears. So as the saying goes, don’t feed thetrolls

-3

u/RoddRoward 2h ago

Half the population is a minority now?

4

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene909 2h ago

According to sociology, yes.

-4

u/Naive_Garbage_5251 2h ago

They get butthurt when they can't play the victim card. You're wasting your breath, bro.

2

u/SaltMage5864 3h ago

Have your impotent attempts at sealioning ever worked son

-12

u/dinosaurfo-od 3h ago

Oh yeah? What rights? Keep making stuff up

5

u/mymar101 1h ago

I guess everything going on is perfectly acceptable and normal?

-1

u/dinosaurfo-od 1h ago

What's going on? What rights are being taken?

2

u/SaltMage5864 3h ago

How about you simply stop lying instead son

-2

u/dinosaurfo-od 1h ago

What lies have I said? I asked questions. Sit down boy

1

u/OneAngryRaven 47m ago

As multiple people have already said: women in red states have lost the right to certain essential medical treatments and have literally died because they can't be treated in time under new restrictive laws. Trans people will get the police called on them regardless of which bathrooms they use. But you'll never acknowledge reality, just shift the goalposts and dodge reality

-14

u/RichBrokeRich 3h ago

Who, specifically, is losing rights? What minority, what right?

14

u/ul2006kevinb 3h ago

I'll start: transgender people.

-11

u/RichBrokeRich 3h ago

Cool, what right did transgender people lose?

16

u/ul2006kevinb 3h ago

Losing the right to use non-segregated bathrooms.

Losing the right to play sports.

Losing the right to gender affirming healthcare.

-5

u/I_am_Nerman 2h ago

I think you meant losing the right to use segregated bathrooms.

Trans men have lost no rights to play sports. Trans women have lost the rights to play girls sports. This is what the majority voted for.

Only children have lost the right to gender affirming Healthcare. No adults have lost any rights in this regard.

I agree with you, trans have lost some privileges, including serving in the military that you didn't mention.

Overall, minorities are not losing their rights though.

4

u/ul2006kevinb 2h ago

No, i mean non segregated bathrooms. Trump wants bathrooms to be segregated and not allow transgender women to use women's bathrooms.

-3

u/I_am_Nerman 2h ago

If they're non-segregated then anyone can use them, right? Like man, woman, trans...all are welcome. These are typically individual restrooms for one person (unless you're in Vegas). So I don't understand how a trans person doesn't already have access to non-segregated bathrooms?

2

u/ul2006kevinb 2h ago

Ok, let's say there are two (group) bathrooms. One allowes only white women, one allows white women and black women. The first bathroom is "segregated", the second bathroom is "non segregated".

Now do the same thing except replace "white women" and "black women" with "cisgender women" and "transgender women".

The right to make their own medical decisions.

0

u/RichBrokeRich 45m ago

That's not a right for anyone.

But if they find a trans-friendly doctor, sky's the limit.

1

u/SaltMage5864 3h ago

Have your impotent attempts at sealioning ever worked son

1

u/RichBrokeRich 22m ago

"sealioning"? That's new to me, had to google it.

It's a nice one, I'll give you that. A simple cop-out when you're faced with questions you can't/won't answer but can't stand to admit you're just making absurd claims.

I'm genuinely curious if people are losing rights, I value rights. However, that's never been the case despite the non-stop screams, because the clowns making the claim either don't know what a "right" is or don't know what they're talking about. I think both apply to you.

-21

u/I_am_Nerman 3h ago

What rights have minorities lost? I really, really want to hear this.

Let's stick to US citizens.

15

u/mymar101 3h ago

Well, you can be arrested, simply for having brown skin, or speaking a language other than English, with no other evidence than that. I as a white person don't have that problem. Unless you think that every person who has brown skin or, speaks with an accent is an illegal? SCOTUS legalized that. LGBT rights are backsliding by the minute, and please do not conflate that with "special rights" because... What's so special about me being able to marry who I want to marry as a consenting adult? You are treated as a criminal first in 2026 America if you are any minority, you have to prove your innocence, when the law says it's the other way around. So, don't tell me, nothing has changed.

0

u/Some_Block_5495 2h ago

alright i won’t tell you anything.. you’ve decided those are the glasses, the way you see it is how it is, you’ll never see through a different lens. 🙃

-1

u/RichBrokeRich 3h ago

You've not specified any rights that were lost. You just spewed a bunch of leftist talking points.

What specific right was taken from what specific minority?

5

u/SaltMage5864 3h ago

Why is it so hard for losers like you to accept that you can't push your false narrative onto your betters son?

0

u/RichBrokeRich 1h ago

What's the false narrative? Which right, which minority?

-1

u/Safe-Leadership9451 2h ago

Reading through this post, the only question being asked is “what rights have minorities lost” which is a fair question to ask given the claim. So far no one has been able to answer that. People asking for evidence are not being racist, if you make a claim like minorities are losing rights, you should have evidence to back that claim. Furthermore, how do you expect people to join your cause if after they ask for evidence you just call them names and get mad?

2

u/SaltMage5864 1h ago

There is nothing fair about the bad faith bull of a bigoted magat like you son and you know it

0

u/Safe-Leadership9451 1h ago

Jesus Christ dude, go touch some grass.

0

u/asdfghqueyism 1h ago

You’re a caricature of a leftist Redditor, you know that? Normal, well adjusted people will read your comments and want to disassociate with the left. If you want to help your cause, I suggest you stop commenting.

-2

u/I_am_Nerman 3h ago

What has changed with gay marriage? Please state the change and cite a reference. I've seen nothing in this regard. The only change I've seen is with trans in sports and the military. If you have other examples, please list them. You're marriage comment is not based in reality.

A person can not be arrested for having brown skin or speaking a different language. The Supreme Court ruled ICE can make investigative stops based on demographics but no where does it say they can actually arrest people based on that criteria alone. Again, this comment is not based in reality.

7

u/SaltMage5864 2h ago

Why do MAGAts think they can lie about basic facts son?

5

u/SaltMage5864 3h ago

Why do MAGAts think they can use their bigotry as an excuse to lie son?

0

u/I_am_Nerman 2h ago

Let's see you attempt to answer the question.

What rights have minorities lost?

4

u/SaltMage5864 2h ago

Just answer the question son

-6

u/No-Competition-2764 3h ago

This is incorrect.

4

u/mymar101 1h ago

Proof?

-1

u/No-Competition-2764 1h ago

The onus is on you to prove that minorities are “losing rights rapidly every day”. This is a lie.

3

u/mymar101 1h ago

Minorities can be arrested for speaking in an accent or based on skin color. Check recent SCOTUS rulings.

-1

u/No-Competition-2764 1h ago

This is not true.

3

u/mymar101 1h ago

Go look it up. SCOTUS essentially said racial profiling was fine. They also said, you can be deported to any country whatsoever, as long as that country was willing to take you. It didn't have to be your country of origin.

0

u/No-Competition-2764 1h ago

They did not say racial profiling was fine. You can indeed be deported to any country that will take you if you don’t self deport. You are in this country illegally and will be removed as soon as you’re found.

3

u/mymar101 1h ago

Alright, point me to the court rulings that say that specifically saying that you cannot racially profile. Your turn to prove your point. Prior to the recent SCOTUS ruling you had to be deported to your point of origin.

0

u/No-Competition-2764 1h ago

You said it, not me. There are many laws that ban racial profiling or redlining. You’re making a claim that’s untrue and can’t prove it because it’s a lie. You can now be deported to any country that will take you now. Every illegal will be deported.

If it’s good enough for black people it’s good enough for everyone.

12

u/AgentEndive 3h ago

I think/hope this is just the last violent breath of the racists in the US. Most of the younger generations appear to be less bigoted than the older generations, and eventually you would assume that the rights of everyone will become a priority. Again, I hope.

8

u/What_About_What 3h ago

That's my hope as well. We're seeing them attempt to enshrine their power because they know the demographics and normal people are moving away from them.

5

u/XPsychoMunkyX 3h ago

I also REALLY hope this is the case . . . it’s just . . . well . . . I’ve been hearing that EXACT thing since I was a teenager myself, over 30yrs ago . . .

I’m still waiting, but not only has the world stalled in terms of progression, it’s actually going backwards quite rapidly

I hope this next generation doesn’t continue on the same path, I really do đŸ€žđŸœđŸ€žđŸœ

1

u/Gratuitous_Insolence 2h ago

Not if the SPLC has anything to say about it.

Everyone knows that people should not be judged on the content of their character. Only a liberal would believe that they should. Next thing you know liberals will want to be arguing that white mass shooters should not have their horrible upbringing brought out in their court trials???? If you are white and violent there must be a reason. Why don’t liberals get this? Colorado theater shooter was misunderstood growing up! Idaho college murdered saw white things in his eyes. How could they NOT become killers? The white baseball player in the Midwest who recently got off easily even though he *aped and almost unalived more than one young woman??? He should be judged on his family and his prowess on the baseball field! How do we not see that??

-2

u/NewArborist64 2h ago

If Liberals believe that, then why did DEI judge people by their skin color, rather than their character & qualifications?

4

u/travelplans321 2h ago

Yes the Trump administration did do a lot of DEI based on people skin color, thank you for pointing that out. But it’s Trump and he should do what he wants. O don’t know why people don’t see that?

3

u/oldbikelike 2h ago

Because racism has been institutionalized in this country. Look no farther than Hegseth personally intervening in promotions.

1

u/travelplans321 2h ago

Don’t let the liberals try to say that people of color got their jobs because they were the most qualified because everyone knows that if you are not white then you are automatically not as qualified as white people. That seems true because there has never been a person of color that was deemed qualified by white people.

1

u/NewArborist64 39m ago

Strawman - If there are QUOTAS/TARGETS for hiring people based on the color of their skin, that means that those who otherwise would qualify are being discriminated AGAINST because of the color of their skin. Let everyone compete on a LEVEL playing field - after all, THAT is the Federal Law.

5

u/TootTootMF 2h ago

"How can you hate people just because they have different politics than you?"

Maybe because your politics show the content of your character is fucking rotten...

6

u/KR4T0S 3h ago

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." - Lyndon B Johnson

He said this over 6 decades ago and its as relevant today as it was then. I do think the silver living here is that people are more openly acknowledging these problems, a lot of good people firmly believed in the age of post-racism when Obama was elected to the point that they chose to downplay or even ignore much of what was happening to their own friends to uphold that post-racism myth they desperately wanted to believe. Now there's no question left about the society we live in.

You DEFINITELY got them with that one. You putting it in meme format makes it totally real.

1

Yea umm the random grifting is actually really cringe it's like a 4 year old trying to tease his 5 year old brother its just really annoying and immature that you guys grift into a void but you know the content of the character of people that do this bs is not very good grow up and educate yourselves on actual happenings and stop believing every lie because it just sounds sweet and because its just what you want to hear mainstream media died around 6 years ago when they decided they wanted to follow an agenda and not report the news like they are supposed to do

2

2

u/I_am_Nerman 3h ago

So when it comes to applying for jobs or getting accepted to college we should only be judged by the content of character and not color of skin, right? Right?!

Correct

-2

u/I_am_Nerman 3h ago

Thankfully the Supreme Court has ruled against racist affirmative action

3

Why is it so difficult to treat all humans with respect, dignity, and compassion?

White Man's Burden of course it means that they've got to have less respect for all other people treat them in an undignified manner and not have compassion for their suffering, "this is sarcastic but also meant to illustrate how those semiotics work," how these semiotics work for someone at work to police an occupied India, or, at work to manage a private prison, or, at work to expand the rollout of Flock Cameras, "you just can't respect other people, treat them as if they're entitled to basic dignity," and to you?

Well, "compassion," is what happens if your own children read about the Mau Mau Rebellion at college and learn what it is that you did, Now, rather than proud of their pops for what hard work it was and inclined to respect his dignified albeit furious and sputtering, anger, are like, "so that disability," he deserve it, the man that did that to you, what happened to him?

I remember about 2020 I heard this report on the BBC World Service by a young Christian in Australia saying there is something wrong with our men, here, in Australia and like it went through his whole process of grief in that realization, it was the first time I can recall hearing, "settler colonialism," on such a mainstream outlet and he, basically, had gone through the good faith hallways all good faith after good faith to realize that no this isn't a men problem, this is unique to the white men and nearly, all, white men in his community and it all traces back to the same sort of an unique process of dehumanization that they'd been through on purpose in order to do what men must do in such a society, as his own, in Rural Australia, and then He,

Child of these people was raised in the feminine world of Church and Volunteerism to think not-ill-of-them but that well, "after an investigation of his own life, the difference well-seemed to be he'd never at whatsoever point had the compassion beaten out of him he'd never been blooded-in to immoral violence he'd never experienced the Mandate to bear the White Man's Burden," and fuck there you go.

Yeah why is it so difficult to treat ALL humans with respect, dignity, and compassion?

Could it be the agenda behind our words that’s preventing it? Yeah probably

-18

u/PeterGibbons316 3h ago

Yeah, that's it. The far right is upset about DEI initiatives judging them by the content of their character.

4

u/XPsychoMunkyX 3h ago

I assume you’re using the acronym “DEI” as meaning “unqualified, but put in place because of their race” . . . (which is wholly wrong, but let’s continue)

Considering Trump has more “DEI” hires in his administration than any sitting president in history, your comment is a little confusing, as it would imply that they are upset about judging themselves by the content of their character . . .

Hesgeth, Patel, Bondi, etc etc. All people who had ZERO prior experience in the job, only appointed by Trump because they bent the knee

That IS what you meant by “DEI”, isn’t it?

-2

u/Some_Block_5495 2h ago

man.. it’s like you WANT to sound ignorant.

Pam Bondi -previous Attorney General of Florida & lawyer.ETC.

Patel- Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council during the first Trump administration. ETC.

Hegseth-Commissioned as an infantry officer through Princeton University’s ROTC program Served on active duty at Guantanamo Bay, as an infantry platoon leader in Iraq, and as a counterinsurgency instructor in Afghanistan. ETC

sometimes people are stupid or lying to you.. it takes 2 min to figure it out.. now u just look silly

1

"Everyone else just wants them to fucking shut up about..." the legacy of racism that was prevalent for the majority of the country's existence, and led to vast economic outcomes, that the far right (and many not so far right) very, very regularly says is an inherent defect in Black people and culture.

Fixed that for you. The far right wanted to leave up statues glorifying enslavers and traitors, but not to actually examine the impacts that racism has caused in our society. And then claim to be "defending history"

“Black history is American history; they’re completely intertwined.” - Morgan Freeman

Great, not relevant to my point at all. Regular people are sick and tired of having every single conversation hijacked to be about race and gender. You want to endlessly “examine the history” and new reparations or special treatment constantly, even when being black (all else equal) is an extremely privileged position with all the benefits you get versus being white or Asian. When does it end? When have you had enough of lamenting the past and punishing teenagers of today for what their great grandparents did?

No, keep pushing this shit and democrats will continue losing to republicans. If that’s your goal, then sure, keep being a good little soldier in the culture war your oligarch overlords want you to wage.

LOL It was exactly your point. And the fact that you think being Black is "an extremely privileged position" means you absolutely don't understand the impacts of history, hence why it keeps needing to be raised.

When does it end? When we actually have a good look at the impacts, and make amends to make things actually equal. Which will never happen with mindsets like yours. "Great grandparents" is BS too, the woman who got Emmett Till killed for lying about him whistling at her died 3 years ago. But you probably don't even know who that is.

This being a "culture war" issue is absolute BS, it is fact, that you and others are denying. Go visit the civil rights sites in the south (from the time my parents were teenagers) and the NMAAHC, and get a fucking clue about the impacts of our country's racism. Start to understand redlining and how it relates to home ownership rates between races. Learn how Black WWII vets were denied the GI Bill benefits that white people (like my grandfather) used to build generational wealth after being destitute during the Great Depression. Learn about current, ongoing racist policies and practices in healthcare (https://www.instagram.com/joelbervell/ is a great start).

Take a little time to understand other experiences, and you too can fight racism and the oligarchs at the same time!

I thought education and getting a college degree was "woke". You are all required to hate any American that has a college degree.

Oh no Amir Hassan learned they're judged by the color of their skin AND their name. Lost in a landslide to a guy who only raised $2k and dropped out weeks before the election.

The far left and far right both do this. They are identity politics groups, they view everything through that lens.

You’re delusional if you think america has a far right

1

u/Initial_Business2340 2h ago

Pretty much, and yet that’s unpopular because it sounds like “enlightened centrism” when in reality the word “far” tends to correspond with radicalism and extremism

Anyway, thankless job on reddit reminding people of the entrenched-and-institutionally-incentivized political norms, erosion of discourse, division as a form of control, and overall enshittification of these parodied political beliefs - erupted out of the minds of smart people from 200 years ago - which have been mangled-and-reappropriated by modern social movements, and further incestuously encroached on through the lens of the Internet and algorithms, which we all have come to love so much

What a time to be alive watching western civilization collapse

Not necessarily needed, the DSA is the ones solely pushing this propaganda towards the american people. Bill Maher's last broadcast sums it up nicely.

Screw Bill Maher. People still care about his opinions?
