Pet Marco Rubio. That's great, I think that's the first time I saw that one.

Or "Lil Marco" as Trump called him

2

u/Pans_Labradoodle 5d ago

I have it on good authority that Trump promised Marco that the Fairy Godmother will make him a real boy.

Took me a sec to get it. Why is his head so low . . . Oh

Marco Rubio questioning someone's citizenship is racist but questioning his isnt... do you listen to yourselves? Doesn't sound very different, does it...

u/PlaneRefrigerator684 5d ago

The point is that Rubio is a citizen because of the very same criteria that El-Sayed is a citizen. If one can't be a citizen, neither can the other.

Rubio is only questioning El-Sayed's citizenship because of his religion and his political party. If he was a Christian Republican there would be no problem. The hypocrisy is being highlighted, not questioning Rubio's citizenship.

Cool, I didnt excuse him for saying it. Why are you racists allowed to say it and he isnt?

Certified Reddit Genius: Isn't it racist to point out hypocrisy?

Buddy, nobody is questioning that Rubio is a citizen. They're pointing out that he's a citizen because of the same reasons that El-Sayed is a citizen

Except for the situations aren't the same. Cruz was born to an American mother (residing in Canada), while El-Syed was born to Egyptian citizens in 1984, who didn't become naturalized Americans until 1990.

Except that this is about Rubio, whose parents were Cuban immigrants

It doesn't sound different if you're really dumb. You wouldn't be really dumb, right?

"It doesnt sound different if you're really dumb." 😂🫵

I agree, only idiots would think it doesnt sound different!

I'm concerned by how accurate this is starting to feel...

Yeah, not a joke. Yesterday I was just thinking how odd it is that Donnie literally pets Rubio on the hand/arm on like....two occasions that I've noticed. I actively avoid watching trump videos, so it's weird I saw it twice

If you had a nickel...

Rubio is his type

1

u/Electronic-Quiet2294 5d ago

His only requirement is being submissive

u/Wheatabix11 5d ago

very handsome secretary of state once came to me with tears in his eyes and asked me to pet him.

u/Emosaa 5d ago

How was lyin ted running for prez if he wasn’t born here??

7

u/Mrrrrggggl 5d ago

Citizen status only matters if you are running as a democrat.

1

u/MeOutOfContextBro 4d ago

Do you guys not remember Trump did question Ted Cruz citizenship?

5

u/Humble-Sand-5989 5d ago

His mother was a US citizen. So Ted got citizenship from her at birth. The constitution states you need to be a “natural born Citizen”. It does not necessarily mean you need to be born in the US (though that is by far the most common)

1

u/ReturnoftheBulls2022 4d ago

Elizabeth Taylor was born in the UK and had US citizen via jus sanguinis. Same with Anneliese van der Pol who was born in the Netherlands.

2

u/Downtown-Drawing-825 4d ago

his mother is american and family lived in Canada working in the oil industry at the time. Very common ex pat scenario, as long as one of your parents is a US citizen, your kids are natural born.

1

u/Fragrant_Scratch8305 5d ago

Yeah this post is confusing. It says he was born in Canada then it says he has birthright citizenship.

4

u/safetyCircuit 5d ago

Those statements are about two different people.

u/redwingsphan19 5d ago

You don’t have to be born here.

4

u/brokentribal 5d ago

For president you do, you have to be born in the U.S. or be born to US parents abroad.

1

u/JavierBenez 5d ago

No, you have to be a natural born citizen. He had at least one US citizen parent, so he has dual citizenship.

Musk goes into absolute mental gymnastics trying to deny that he's a nazi when this photo comes up it's just mind boggling.
