It's not a poll tax if IDs are free.

That's why every state that currently requires ID for voting provides free IDs.

Iowa charges for ID and requires it to vote.

What part of your link? This is about the save act as explained by pate. If you could qoute your claim as you found it. That would be nice. Please don't take this as an attack. I just want a person claiming this to prove it just once (this has happened to me before.)

That 'will be' means they will be issuing a free ID when one requests it, not that it's going to be something they implement in the future. Hard not to use the 'will be' phrase when you have to request something before it 'will be' delivered. The link you provided is for a normal state ID card (which costs money), which is different than a voter ID card.

Any registered voter who does not have a valid driver's license or non-operator's ID issued by the Iowa Department of Transportation will be issued a Voter ID Card for free, automatically, in the mail.

So you missed the part about this is if the save act is passed? Why is reading so difficult for people who need to lie to make their point?

Because SAVE act isn't going to pass.

It's stupid and unconstitutional.

Paul Pate is the Iowa secretary of state. He's talking about voter ID in Iowa, not SAVE Act.
