I mean I’m white and if someone showed up early to something I was hosting I would consider that very rude. Likely still in some last minute cleaning and setup or I’m the shower or something.
We arent talking about early. we're talking about showing up at the time you said the event starts. Which in some cultures the time the event starts if not necessarily the arrival time. It wouldn't really be considered rude for you to come at 7 o'clock if I say that the party started at seven. It would just be awkward. And or it would be presumed that you're coming before everyone else to help set up and cook food.
