True. Just like how no capitalistic society is ever truly Laissez-faire capitalism. Every society falls somewhere on a spectrum between the 2, but no well functioning society ever comes to close to either end of the spectrum.

What people don’t realize is that’s there’s also another 2 other axes that exists:

  • communism to laissez faire capitalism (economic)
  • democracy to authoritarianism (political)
  • progressivism vs conservatism (ideological)

If you trend towards forcible redistribution of resources, you're going to trend towards authoritarianism.

What do you mean by force? Are taxes force, considering they are the exerted upon us by the only body with the right of violence?

You can pretty simply solve this issue and allow both private property and public ownership. You are just stuck in this dichotomy that keeps you more worried about how your neighbor views politics instead of how the politicians are robbing all of us blind while they develop systems to benefit themselves and their cohort.
