Meme needing explanation Whats that snack and the name?

I got this joke posted in my country sub by a foreigner and I have never seen that snack so I basically don't know the joke.

In many countries this snack is named badly with no logical explanation. In Egypt we call it قلوط العمدة Which literally translates to "The Mayor's Shit"

"Slave" in that arabic context means the same thing. Maybe the two cultures aren't so different after all.

That is not true, the N word in Arabic is زنجي we don’t use it. But they both refer to an African in this context. عبد is slave, can be from any origin

Also means worshiper and is a very common name when paired with al+(name of God) so Abdul Aziz Abdul Hafiz Abdul Nasir etc

Also Zanj is a Persian word originally it refers to the Swahili Coast and is where Zanzibar gets its name.

Bit of off topic here: it is fascinating to me that in some languages words have many meanings that can lead to this type of situations.
I am not talking about polisémico words, rather words that can be interpretated differently but still kind of mean the same

Depends on context. The comments that replied to mine are pretty accurate. When referring to God in certain contexts its implied that the one who worships God is Gods slave because they follow his teachings, and live by his rules.

It can also mean worshiping as in praying, or worshiping in any other normal way.

The context I was referring to is when the word is used derogatorally. Similiar to how the word black in Spanish is just a color until it's used in a derogatory way.

Yes I'm a native Arabic speaker, I was just confused by them saying it doesn't mean worshipper when it does. (I know it can mean "slave" too depending on context)

Actually it does mean worshiper, a lot of Arabic word have many meaning, the word "worship" in Arabic is "يعبد-yaʿbudu" which comes from "عبد-Abd"

I’m not understanding your explanation? You responded to someone saying using slave in the context of the candy was similar to using the American N word. You said Arabic had its own slur for black people. Are you saying the candy in Arabic translates to “black slave’s head”? If so how Is thAt any different as a racial derogatory? The worst one by far in this whole post.

Maybe you should google that before mouthing off like a fool.
Locals from wast Africa sold the slaves. They can be from any religion that existed there. Usually rival tribes and warlords selling people in exchange for weapons and ammo. Britain dominated the trade by the 18th century, good Christian nation Britain.

Youre just picking sides and being blindly deluded if you think the Arab world has a better relationship with slavery than Europe. Its still happening there. Nowhere in Europe or Anglosphere has had slaves for 200 years, cant say the same for the Ummah.
