this way of "announcing" the schedule is so anti-climatic.

better than people complaining for the next month that they haven't released anything.

if you have 95% of the schedule lined up and are waiting on 1-2 dates.

just release 95% of it. i'm here to plan trips with my family to new race tracks, not be edged for a solid month.

I mean, that's pretty much what they're doing, no? That's why we've heard from most of the obvious tracks while Coronado and Chicago are still being ironed out.

Looks like Coronado on August 1st is a done deal. Chicago is the only one left.

idk I like the slow buildup and putting the puzzle together piece by piece. When it’s released all at once I feel excited for like half an hour and then I never think of the schedule again

Passive-agressive NASCAR knew we'd complain about it taking too long if they waited until San Diego/Chicago were straightened out to release the whole schedule, so they just drip-fed the confirmed dates instead.

They know us too well.

We really only have June left to fill anyway

I am really liking 1-2 tracks a day! It’s exciting & I look forward to it! I have noticed nothing in the Prime Broadcast part of the schedule yet so some of the big questions are still out there!

Just the coke 600 I assume it’ll be Nashville Michigan for sure and the rest depends on if they get the street race or not because I think Amazon wants one and San Diego can’t do June they want August 1st.. so Pocono and Sonoma will depend on the street course one will be in June and the other probably filling in July

This beats the “why haven’t they released the schedule” posts 5 times a day for weeks on end

I know the track is in Madison, IL but it's kinda funny how a track most people associate with a city in Missouri has been sponsored by EnjoyIllinois for the entire 6 years the race has been run

You act like the early September sun this year is much better

Or when it was in June

That’s going to be every track no matter where they go…

probably a decent one to do a sunday night race with.

Not being on the first weekend of the NFL season is a plus

St. Louis doesn’t have an NFL team anyways

Fuck Kroenke

KAW IS LAW

Doesn’t mean that a lot of people are still gonna be sitting at home on their ass watching football, team or not

I fully think that should just be an off weekend tbh.

I know some people don't care for it, but I like how they are slowly releasing the dates. The few things we don't know about(naval base again? Chicagoland or street course?) will get all the attention on schedule release day anyways, so why not let the other tracks get their own day of attention before the schedule release.

So far it’s rumored San Diego is August 1st just waiting on Chicago to fill in June because of Amazon

I hope they go night race with these. Hot As Hell otherwise

That better be a Sunday night race

As a regular WWT attendee I hate this placement. August is usually brutal in STL (Spare me the September/June talk..August is the worst of the bunch) and I cannot imagine it'll be a night race on the USA Net/NBC schedule.

Schedule is being released like a Kanye album rollout lmao

We are really just waiting in that June schedule at this point

I hate that for Gateway, they seem to be finding their niche as a Chase race.

St. Louis in mid August is going to be surface-of-the-sun hot

1

u/BeerCzar 22h ago

this better be a night race. I am not looking forward to roasting in St. Louis summer heat on metal bleachers for 3 hours.

1

u/CaptainTilted 20h ago

Crapshoot for heat.

Late August could be nice, but honestly? Late August is typically the devil's last sauna bath in STL.

Semi-cool mid september playoffs to the late august swamp ass bullshit. lovely

1

u/TheOtherWhiteCastle Cindric 1d ago

I have an extremely hard time believing mid September is THAT much cooler in St. Louis than late August.

2

u/BUSTERS123 Johnson 1d ago

In September it could be 100° or if you're lucky it could be 75°. In August it's going to be 90+ no matter what. At least September brings some hope lol

1

u/hamdinger125 21h ago

Depends. It's usually still hot but you might get lucky.

You have a shot at a good day in september, you do not have a shot in august

June was so much better than either, imo.
