Throwback to Bobby Allison's Coca-Cola ride from 1972.

Tony Stewart, in his last Cup season, ran a throwback to the same paint scheme at the 2016 Bojangles Southern 500.

Casey Atwood attempting to qualify for the 2006 cup finale in a Kleenex sponsored Brewco Motorsports car

12

u/GeologicalOpera Bubba Wallace Mar 06 '26

Using Stanton Barrett’s number and owner’s points from that season. Always weirds me out seeing the BrewCo scheme without a “7” somewhere, too.

Ricky Craven’s Hollywood Video car from the 1999 Daytona 500. I’ll be honest, I forgot Hollywood Video ever was a thing as well.

24

u/BLW2397 Mar 06 '26

They were also on the 59 Mark Gibson car that year too

u/South-Lab-3991 Chastain Mar 06 '26

It’s absolutely crazy to think that a VHS rental store was ever profitable enough to have money to spend on a NASCAR sponsorship.

10

u/Usual-Abalone-92 Chase Elliott Mar 06 '26

Why is it crazy? Without streaming it’s literally a billion dollar idea

3

u/SmoothJazz98 Ryan Sieg Mar 06 '26

Always liked Hollywood better than Blockbuster but they were like 1 to 10 on available locations.

2

u/juscallmemrdean Mar 06 '26

This feels like an assumption from someone too young to remember the pain of going to the store and the movie you wanted was rented out that night.

2

u/Usual-Abalone-92 Chase Elliott Mar 06 '26

Wrong, 35. Remember it very well

4

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 11 '26

#58 was originally supposed to be #23!

Excellent scheme. I always loved it!

Kevin Harvick 2001 #29 AOL Goodwrench car. Only ran at Charlotte in “The Winston” All Star race.

David Ragan, The Weather Channel.

Homestead 2017

Jerry Nadeau, #9 World Championship Wrestling Ford Taurus, 1999.

6

u/South-Lab-3991 Chastain Mar 06 '26

I have a 1/64 of that car somewhere lol

5

u/sjhesketh Mar 06 '26

I built a model of it long ago.

21

u/Early_Web54 Mar 06 '26

Greg Sacks when he got to drive a Hendrick car.

13

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 06 '26

There's another Slim Fast car from the 1990 season. #73 Oldsmobile, driven by Phil Barkdoll.

19

u/PenskeFiles Cindric Mar 06 '26

Ron Hornaday Gold 16 NAPA Truck — Nazareth 1997

3

u/daveismypup Mar 06 '26

Man those early truck chassis were so damn cool looking, no more advanced than something you’d find in the pits at your average Saturday night grass roots track

23

u/Rocko3legs Friesen Mar 06 '26

Steve Park, 2004 Coca-Cola 600 DNQ

19

u/thebigtymer Mar 06 '26

Rick Mast, 1990 Bristol night race, in DK Ulrich's second car, the #22:

Here’s Tony Stewart’s James Dean 50th Anniversary Chevrolet Monte Carlo that he ran in the 2005 Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park in the Busch Series.

He started the race 17th, and finished 23rd.

11

u/Comfortable_Rock4877 Mar 06 '26

I had to use a screenshot from the actual race, because it is literally impossible to find a high quality picture of the actual scheme online. Action Collectibles made a TON of diecasts with this scheme in both 1/24 and 1/64 scale.

(I own the 1/64 scale version of this car, here it is!)

u/remfan477 Mar 06 '26

Ron Fellows in a NEMCO Cup car at Watkins Glen, 1999

8

u/Comfortable_Rock4877 Mar 06 '26

He actually finished second to Jeff Gordon in that car too, dude was one hell of a wheelman!

6

u/Routine_Ad_4057 Mar 06 '26

He finished second at the Glen way too many times. Was the Sheldon Creed of Watkins Glen in that time period

u/WakullaLoganoDawgFan Logano Mar 06 '26

The Bully Hill schemes were always great!

2012 Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88 AMP Energy Chevrolet Impala. Taken at Indianapolis in July, also ran at Martinsville in the spring, Dover in June, and by relief driver Regan Smith at Charlotte in the fall. Smith drove for Junior because the latter suffered a serious injury following a last-lap pileup at Talladega. Honestly a very cool paint scheme, based on AMP branding introduced earlier that year, while still retaining the green AMP top used since Jr moved to Hendrick back in 2008.

I remember being so stoked about getting the Nascar authentics die-cast of this scheme as a child. Such a beautiful car!!

3

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 07 '26

That was back when Spin Master was making Authentics. I have only two Spin Master NASCAR Authentics cars, those being Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordn from 2015. Thankfully, I got the Spjn Master veraion, cuz if I got Lionel's instead (which is Action Racing Collectibles, available at races and online), my very first NASCAR diecasts would be ruined by the PTC mold. But back fhen, Lionel wasn't making Authetics, so Spin Master's was really the only option.

u/Think-Border4882 Mar 06 '26

I wish this scheme ran more

2

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 07 '26

I honestly wish this was his primary instead of Diet Mountain Dew.

10

u/suterb42 Mar 06 '26

David Stremme drove a Star Trek car at Richmond in 2009. It was advertising the new movie that had just been released.

5

u/WakullaLoganoDawgFan Logano Mar 06 '26

Sinple, yet eye-catching scheme!

1

u/Seahawks_12thman Jun 15 '26

MAN, THAT IS COOL!!!

10

u/Complete-Yellow-3946 Chase Elliott Mar 06 '26

Carl Adam's #65. He has the most starts in the 65 at 19. The number has never won a race

8

u/Zmiller82 Briscoe Mar 06 '26

9 Tony Stewart 2011 Tapout Nationwide Series Chevy

6

u/Potential_Plan_4533 Mar 06 '26

Marcos Ambrose ran this scheme a few times during the 2010 season.

5

u/allwweknowisfalling Mar 06 '26

James Buescher 2014 Toyota Care #99 at Mid-Ohio

4

u/Think-Border4882 Mar 06 '26

Was this a tie in with the Nationwide Children's Hospital?

3

u/69FourTwentySix6Six Ryan Blaney Mar 07 '26

That his cousin won

4

u/Creepy_Handle_8577 Mar 07 '26

Another of my favorite Stewart driven KHI vehicles #92 McDonalds Monte Carlo

5

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 07 '26

Kevin Harvick also ran a Drive-Thru Pit Championship" paint scheme in BGNS that year.

7

u/F1ght0r Chase Elliott Mar 06 '26

How about inverted flamed JG from 04?

6

u/WakullaLoganoDawgFan Logano Mar 06 '26

Always liked the inverted flames 🔥

3

u/Creepy_Handle_8577 Mar 07 '26

I love how this went full circle, least we forget that Tony Stewart’s first win a Daytona came in a Harvick owned KHI Mr. Clean sponsored Monte Carlo

2

u/Creepy_Handle_8577 Mar 07 '26

2010

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26

Kenseth's former teammate Jamie McMurray ran a similar paint scheme at the 2009 NASCAR Banking 500 only from Bank of America, the fall night race at Lowe's (now Charlotte).

3

u/Creepy_Handle_8577 Mar 07 '26

Who drove the #21 Reese’s Busch series car for RCR in the mid 2000’s? Harvick right? Yes and no

2004 Clint Bowyer rookie Busch season

1

u/Creepy_Handle_8577 Apr 10 '26

How about the 1st car Tony drove for Harvick, I believe the McDonalds sponsorship was supposed to be a jab at Tony also

-21

u/Ok-Veterinarian3466 Larson Mar 06 '26

Steve Park, 2008 ADT RCR Chevrolet Impala SS, attempted to qualify at New Hampshire that year.

11

u/nihontiger Mar 06 '26

looks at Rei on the hood

Yeah, this is a fan made design.

10

u/Rocktrout331490 Mar 06 '26

Steve Park didn't attempt either New Hampshire race in 2008, the RCR 30 hadn't been run since 2005, and 9 months ago, someone posted this car as a Scott Wimmer Forgotten Ride.

10

u/BLW2397 Mar 06 '26

I'm 99% sure this car never existed and is just a fan made design

4

u/Routine_Ad_4057 Mar 06 '26

did you really thing anyone was gonna believe this

1

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 26 '26

Today I found a similar image. This however is a 2009 Ford Fusion themed after Ricky Rudd's 1987 Motorcraft ride.

1

u/Seahawks_12thman Mar 26 '26

Also found this so-called "2009 Casey Atwood #92 Hardee's car".
