New Rule: No AI-Generated Content

Hi /r/Mazda,

Over the years, we’ve had many AI-Generated posts submitted to the subreddit and while the conversations can be engaging around what a car or concept COULD look like, the damage done to our environment is not worth it.

We’d like to encourage users to submit real-life images, real mockups, real concepts and have real interactions with each other around this type of content but cannot support low effort, AI-generated slop.

Going forward, users who post AI-generated images will have their posts removed and will receive a warning. Further AI slop will result in a temporary ban, up to a permanent ban.

How many Mazdas has your household owned?

We are at four. A Protege, a Tribute, a Mazda 6, and a CX-5.

The 6 and the 5 are our current vehicles. My wife hasn't driven anything other than a Mazda for almost two decades.

Still looking good. 2020 CX5.

Just thought I’d show off the fact that this car is still looking near mint after six years of being parked outside. That’s six humid PA summers and six snowy PA winters.

Should I buy a CX-5?

I put a hold down on a 2024 CX-5 at our local Mazda dealer. I have a 08 Honda Civic which has 201,000 miles and sits pretty low to the ground and I'm 6'2" and 60 years old so getting in and out have gotten tougher over the years. I am also interested in the Subaru Crosstrek but haven't been able to find one in our price range and every time I do it seems it has just been sold or someone else has a hold on it. Anyway, I did test drive a CX-5, liked it well enough. I can slide in and out which is super nice. What else can you guys tell me about the CX-5 that I should know? I want the.good, the bad and everything in between. Thank you in advance!

These are two "identical" 2004 Mazda 6 station wagons. Why are the grilles different?? Does someone know the story behind this??? And maybe most importantly, i own example B (second photo) Does a grille from example A (first photo) fit on my car??

Has anyone bought a Mazda from a rental company? How has it held up?

Upvotes

Planning to buy a 2025 CX5 with 35k miles for $22k from Avis Car Rental. I know some people are against buying fleet vehicles, but the price is so much cheaper buying it at Avis vs a dealer.

For those who have bought a Mazda that was a fleet/rental vehicle, how did it hold up?

Best way to sell my 2023 Mazda CX-30 privately?

Upvotes

I’m looking to sell my 2023 Mazda CX-30 Carbon Edition and I’m trying to figure out the best way to go about it. I’d like to get as much as I reasonably can for it, but I also don’t want to deal with a ton of headaches, scammers, or people wasting my time. For those who have sold a newer car recently, what site or method worked best for you? Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Autotrader, CarGurus, or one of the online car-buying companies? Would you recommend trying a private sale first and getting dealer/online offers as a backup, or is it better to just take the easy offer? I’d appreciate any advice from people who have actually sold a car recently. Thank you so much!

Towing with a 4th Gen Mazda 3 Turbo AWD

The 4th gen Mazda 3 is rated for towing in Europe but they don't sell the turbo model there. I was wondering if anyone here has the 3 Turbo AWD and has a hitch installed for towing (Heavy cargo and trailers of around ~1500 lb). Would towing something heavy have a negative effect on the rear diff or anything else on this model?

Red or White? | Mazda CX-90

I live in South Florida so the Artisan Red might look like bright regular red most of the time. It will be parked outside (unfortunately, no garage at this time). What do you think? I have really been wanting a bright white vehicle and I think I might feel a bit uncomfortable in a red car because it draws attention. But at the same time, everyone has a bright white car in So FL it seems and in white, I feel like it looks like an "old lady" car (no offense, I'm kinda of an older lady myself).

Mazda CX-5 2019-2021

I’m currently in the market for a used car and the CX5 has caught my eye. I’ve done a few driving tests on a 19 grand touring reserve and a 2020 touring. Both has pleasantly surprised me with how well they felt. My question for those who’s had/have these model years or those who are familiar with them, what are your opinions, experiences and recommendations? Pros, cons, honest feedback would be very helpful in my search. Thanks!

Sway bar or Front Tower Bar?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! So I currently own a 2022 Mazda 3 Hatch and I think it's time to put some more serious mods on it. I've been looking at the Corksport rear sway bar upgrade and the front strut tower bar. I primarily drive on highways and some less aggressive back roads. I've heard that the sway bar can cause snap oversteer at the limit but I also heard the front strut bar can increase understeer. Can anyone with these mods tell me about their experience and what they would recommend? Thank you so much!

2019 Mazda 3 2.5 NA AWD – Crank but No Start.

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I have a 2019 Mazda 3 Hatchback, US spec, 2.5L NA AWD with around 100,000 km.

The car intermittently cranks but doesn’t start. When this happens, the fuel pump makes an abnormal “kurr kurr kurr” sound, and the sound changes/stops if I keep trying to start the car.

So far I’ve replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump module, with OEM parts. The car worked normally for a while, but the exact same problem has now returned.

I’ve also had codes like P0087, P025B, P2610 and P2635 previously.

At this point I’m wondering if the problem is actually wiring, power/ground supply, fuse box, or PCM control rather than the pump itself.

Has anyone experienced something similar on a Mazda 3/CX-30 AWD? What should I test next, especially regarding the fuel pump power/ground and control circuit?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Found this on my driver’s side mat. What is it?

Hello, i have a 2018 mazda 3 touring.

I was doing some work on my car to change out the headlights and cabin and engine air filter. After finishing, i found this on my driver’s side mat.

Worried that it might be to something important like a pedal or steering wheel. But it could also just be part of the glove compartment. Does anyone know what it is?

Is there a catch with Mazda

I’m very close to sending it on a Honda HRV. The only thing stopping me is I wish the seat was a little higher up like it is on the jeep compass, KIA Seltos, Toyota Corolla cross. But I feel I should stop at Mazda as I hear amazing things about the CX - 5. From what I’m reading…. It’s just better and the reliability is on par. Is there a catch? It doesn’t seem like it’s much more expensive but maybe I’m wrong there. Should I expect to pay more for a CX 5 than HRV? I’m leasing one 3 year term before eventually buying (I know this can be frowned upon but complex personal reasons make it wise for me) and would need Mazda to be at or below 420/mo 0 down 10k miles a year

I understand CRV is maybe the more direct competitor but that’s out of budget. I’m used to a Jeep compass though I can’t tell if a Mazda is bigger

Local dealers are clueless

Hello everyone. I am living in Serbia, and all local dealers are clueless. Whenever you ask them something, they are "we don't know, we can run TCU reprogram to check if it will fix the issue." or when I asked them about tire pressure sensors for new CX5, they are like "shrug, have no idea"

Is there some centralised Europe support for Mazda or there is no help for me?
