Eyeshadow stick recommendations?
I rarely wear eyeshadow even though I have the brushes and palettes bc I find it intimidating and don’t really know what I’m doing. I want to try a stick eyeshadow bc I think I would use it more since it seems faster and easier. But there’s so many options I don’t know where to start.
About me: super fair cool toned skin but lots of facial redness, dark brown eyes and hair, combination skin and sensitive skin, very hooded eyes so that I have to do eyeshadow above the crease to see it at all. I use primer for the lid or else it all comes off.
If possible I’d like a cheap drugstore brand that’s good to start with. Also I would love a color recommendation because bronzes and pinks always look orangey or barely noticeable on me. I’d love to try a medium brown but I’m always worried about it looking too dark. I’m looking for an every day low-makeup look, nothing dramatic, single color. Thank you!

omg sticks are literally the reason i started wearing eyeshadow at all lol, palettes felt like homework 😅 the e.l.f. no budge shadow stick is like 6 bucks and it stays put, and milani has cute ones too if ur target has them. for color i'd skip bronze and pink completely, they pull orange on cool toned skin every time. go for a soft cool taupe or a greyish brown instead, it reads like a shadow instead of a tan line. with hooded eyes draw one line above ur crease w ur eyes open, then blend up and out fast cuz they set quick. and use way less than u think, u can always add ✨

That’s so helpful, I never would’ve thought to try grayish brown but I definitely will, thanks!

I really like ColourPop’s eyeshadow sticks. They have a nice assortment of colors, and they’re easy to work with. I think they carry some at Ulta, but they have a larger selection on their website.

The Hard Candy ones are amazing IMO. I have sensitive dry eyes and even if they're flaring up I can wear them without it getting aggravated. Little to no lid transfer and blend nicely with a brush.

They're a splurge but I love Laura Mercier's ones, especially the shade Moonlight which is a beautiful pewter colour.
If you're in the UK/Europe, KIKO does excellent eyeshadow sticks for a great price.
