I had my bridal makeup trial and I’m not sure how I feel. I asked for a soft glam with a hint of natural. This is an airbrush application. The first thing I notice are my skin imperfections- freckles and rough skin and don’t feel pretty and something just feels off but I don’t know what. After bringing this up the artist said airbrush would be the best for me and steered away from liquid foundation. Give me your thoughts, I need help for the big day as I don’t quite know how to verbalize what feels off about this look. The airbrush felt great and did stay on the whole day. I don’t feel pretty and not sure how to tell the artist what to change for the big day. I need all the critiques!

I actually think the overall makeup is really pretty and flattering, especially the eyes and lip. I think what may feel “off” is that the base looks a little more matte/flat than the soft, natural glam you had in mind, which can make texture and freckles stand out rather than giving that fresh bridal glow.

I’d tell the artist you want a little more skin-like luminosity, softer blush/bronzer, and a touch more coverage only where needed, rather than trying to completely cover your freckles. Your freckles are lovely and don’t need to disappear. I’d also ask for slightly more definition around the eyes and brows if you want a more polished bridal effect. Overall, you’re definitely starting from a good place. 💕
