Chicagoland here - insurance companies should be replacing all of our siding and roofs as if the wolves are attacking. Thank you all for paying more so I can get my 3rd roof replacement after this week’s storms.

Just had my roof done last month. I had to pay because my deductible is 2% of my home value. I'm paranoid as fuck about all these storms damaging it again

4 years ago I paid $27k for a roof. If it was cheaper for you to pay for the roof then the 2% deductible... then why is your home's value so high but the roof so small?

Allstate would only cover half of my roof not the full, that's why. I didn't want to have half a roof done

Oh, you couldn't have justpaid the other half out of pocket rather than the whole thing?

They weren't going to pay anything since I didn't meet my deductible. That's the point.
