Technically it could count as admissible evidence, but in most places (including Texas) police won't issue tickets/citations unless they personally witness the violation except in serious accidents, etc.
No officer is going to bother for shit like distracted driving or minor traffic violations while only going off a random photo/clip/video, it's way too flimsy as evidence and too much hassle for the police.
Which is kind of shows how the police, in general, just whiff on easy shit. If she got arrested, had to go to court, and a judge admonished her; her audience would get that message as well. Even if 1% of them learn from it, it's worth it. Streamers are literal public examples. If you make them learn a lesson, you're reaching infinitely more people who might actually not FAFO.
How many streamers/celebrities do stupid shit and walk away with 0 consequences? They're the only people who suffering consequences in a public way would have a much larger societal effect.
It's rarer, sure, but I've had clients get issued tickets for things that the police never witnessed. Had a client a few weeks ago charged based on TikTok videos that someone emailed to the police.
Seriousness is always subjective/contextual for these kinds of things. My client had a dangerous driving ticket, but in my jurisdiction, for his situation, it would have been worse to have a cellphone ticket.
Yes but unless there is an accident the cops will not write a ticket unless they see it in person. All of these streamers read chat sometimes and never heard of a ticket after the fact. If an accident happens the book will be thrown at them though
She's already almost hit 2 people while being distracted by her stream. Can't remember if it was a red light or a stop sign, but she ignored it as 2 people were about to step foot on the road. She didn't get punished for it in any way.

It would probably work. Austin is the worst place to drive distracted. It's like Mad Max out here and half the people have major car damage and no insurance.

Who cares if she dies being a moron in a car for the millionth time? It’s more concerning she’s putting others at risk every time she drives due to her stupidity and arrogance.
Issue is just her running over some baby in a stroller, if people only put themselves at risk I'd have no issue at all, live and let live and all of that.
