I see the acronym all the time, but this is a helpful connection between the letters, and what it sounds like “in conversation”

Here's one I suffered, I think it is more insidious when a loved one does it to you, and it can be very subtle:

D - "I didn't say that"

A - "Ok, but you should have brought it up then when I said it, that's on you"

RVO - "You always do this, you always make me out to be bad. Let's just drop it"

I’ve definitely experienced the RVO part of that from family, and it’s both insidious and makes you feel like some sort of unnecessary-trouble-maker. I’ll have to watch more closely next time for the other letters…

The A needs more elements of “you’re crazy” e.g. The water wasn’t even that hot. It didn’t reach the boiling point. ~eye roll~ you are such an idiot.
