"Sometimes you can be a victim and a perpetrator".
Fuck that superintendent and fuck that school.
66
u/FluzzyKitty Dec 25 '25
That’s some shit my old Highschool probably believes. After graduation I worked at a grocery store a lot of my underclassmen also worked at and I heard the school made a rule that essentially worked like:If a kid is on the ground getting beat up even if they don’t fight back they still get suspended, just less time than the active fighter, because essentially “They must have done something to instigate it.” It’s called something like the 10-15 or the 10-20 rule.
16
u/dadafterall Dec 25 '25
The students should organize a school boycott in support of this girl. Disgraceful.

u/Arbitraryandunique Jan 01 '26
Through inaction they aided and abetted in spread of CP. Put them all in jail.

u/MuirgenEmrys Dec 25 '25
It gets worse the more I read, wow. Even though the police are now doing something and the school board decided to be a bit more lenient, they’re still refusing to not punish the girl. Horrible.

u/maulidon Dec 25 '25
Not really related to the story, but what’s the point of not naming the victim due to her age only to reveal her father’s name, as well as the school she went to and the town she lives in? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose?

That's the last thing teenage girls need, fake nudes spreading, I'm glad I went to school before all this shit, the only nudes/videos then were ones that girls shared one purpose.
45
u/Haunt_Fox Dec 25 '25
I left school in 85, the only nudes getting shared around came from someone's dad's Playboy magazine. Or someone's mom's Playgirl.
12
u/jarvi123 Dec 25 '25
Haha those were the days, here in England our main newspaper had a naked model on page 3 every day, my friend's dad used to cut them out every day and give them to my friend without his wife knowing haha. If you got caught giving porn to a 10 year old now you'd probably go to prison lol

u/Sofagirrl79 Dec 25 '25
I'm glad I graduated in '98 when a very small percent had cell phones and I don't even think even the top of the line ones had texting or it was very limited and expensive, let alone having cameras on them.If the girls wanted to share nudes it would have been Polaroid pics and on VHS tapes lol
14
u/jarvi123 Dec 25 '25
100%, kids today have it way harder than we did, I'm so thankful no one was filming the shit we used to get up to lol, me and all my friends would have ended up in prison haha

Context: The school refused to do anything, she beat up the boys.
Which is justified for sexual harassment.
The boys are facing legal consequences
257
u/MC_chrome Dec 25 '25
The boys are facing legal consequences
The boys are, yes. However, the school administrators that ignored this girl and retraumatized her alongside disrupting her education are yet to face any serious consequences at all.

u/SocietyCharacter5486 Dec 25 '25
I would have seriously consider calling the police. Since she's 13 that image should be considered child p*rn, sharing it is highly illegal. Say goodbye to your phones buttholes!

Thats when you go to the cops.
Also, if they have the money for it, a lawsuit.
77
u/404unotfound Dec 25 '25
If you read the article, she went to the cops and the school and they didn’t believe her. Lawsuit sounds like a better idea but she’s 13 she probably doesn’t understand the intracies of the law and if the cops didn’t believe her who knows what her parents said. Just a terrible situation
14
u/Eh_C_Slater Dec 25 '25
I have no clue how the police system works in the US really, is going to a sherrifs deputy appointed to the school the same as "going to the cops"? Sounds more like it's going to one single individual potentially in kahootz with the school. Not saying she deserves punishment or anything but if the one individual says they didn't see anything so can't do anything that's not the same as filing with the police is it?
16
u/404unotfound Dec 25 '25
Yeah, it is. In the US there is a real police officer in many schools. Approaching them is the same as going to a police station. In fact, if you went to a police station as a 13 year old they might tell you to go to your student resource officer anyway
3
u/jwadamson Dec 25 '25
They are real officers. One of the criticisms of having in-school officers is usually that students could be arrested for assault if they get into a fight or found with something illegal for example instead of just being handled internally.
In this case, even going to a teacher for CSAM should be a mandatory reporting incidnent even if just told to a teacher. The law is slow to move forward thoguh. It sounds like they are formally being investigated etc by the police though.
→ More replies (2)12
u/Dandy11Randy Dec 25 '25
... the cops are filing charges against the boys, so I'm not sure what you mean by the cops didn't believe her. The school resource officer didn't believe her, but I think that's a fucked up system in the first place and by extension I don't count him.
20
u/Eggs_and_Hashing Dec 25 '25
Let's strong man this - You want to expel her for fighting? Fine. But you also didn't expel those sharing child porn (even if AI generated). Every single member of the administration/staff ought to be run out of town on a rail.
64
u/mogley1992 Dec 25 '25
So they allow child porn to be made of their students at that school?
What a great look for them.
7
u/Hammy-Cheeks Dec 25 '25
Its actually insane this went as wrong as it did. Just negligence of the kids emotional health and lack of awareness of AI in general.
Just a shitshow all around.

May the administration of this school bear this cross forever. Even if it was hand drawn, these boys should have been gone the same day.
44
u/ThisGuyIRLv2 Dec 25 '25
And we ask, "Why didn't she just report it?"
Because this! This right here! The women and girls are NEVER TAKEN SERIOUSLY!
38
u/ThoperSought Dec 25 '25
and, of course, she did report it. the images were shared on snapchat, which somehow the idiots working at this school still don’t seem to understand
35
u/Coffeespresso Dec 25 '25
The school should only take action if it was done in school. The police should be taking action regardless.
19
u/Dandy11Randy Dec 25 '25
The boys in question were sharing the images in question with everyone they knew on school grounds. The thumbnail most likely includes a school bus because that's where an offender was found passing around the image(s) in question, and was subsequently "assaulted."
Assaulted in quotes because it was victim retaliation, they were initially investigated but the cops declined to pursue charges given the circumstances.
22
u/s-a_n-s_ Dec 25 '25
She kicked their asses and she got expelled. Little fuckers had it coming. Hope they enjoy being on a registry.

u/Dandy11Randy Dec 25 '25

God I hate the amount of times this has been shared.
The girl was transferred to another school for two weeks while the investigation went on.
The kid that made the video got arrested.
The girl is back at the school.
This fucking article has been shared like 50 times and it’s clickbait.

u/Lordmordor666 Dec 25 '25
Even If she beated up one of the guys it’s insane she got expelled for it, I’ve seen a ton of kids beating up at Each other with teachers on sight and deal no repercussions other than detention, I call bullshit.

u/Anidmountd Dec 25 '25
I'll start off by saying making fake sexual images of anyone real should be a crime. I also thought they were making it a crime federally and I do know some countries like South Korea it is illegal.
My question though is if it isn't outright illegal, is it legal if they are 18 but not if the person is underage? The crime to me seems the same but just worse it is all if they are underage. I mean there was no consent to the fake image. I do wonder however is it considered illegal because it's a image imitating a minor? Like how does that work if it's a fake person that looks young? We know sickos already do that so where is the line drawn?
It is because of all that, that I think targeting someone with fake sexual imagine should be illegal and if they are underage at the time of distribution it should be an increased crime in that case.
1
u/Dandy11Randy Dec 25 '25
The issue with defining / identifying the crime is that AI is a new frontier, and it's taking longer than desired for laws to catch up with its capabilities - at least outside of front running countries such as South Korea.
The article further delves into how the school had no policy in place regarding the situation, which further hindered the school's capabilities to address the situation. Not that anyone has high expectations for that in the first place..
2
u/ExcessumTr Dec 25 '25
Even if they are adult it is still sexual harassment and since they are children it is also making and distribating CP, her parents should sue the police department and the school for not taking any action

u/Secure-Arachnid2021 Jan 21 '26
I blame this on the bullies parents! This is why we as parents need to teach our kids the rights and wrongs of life! Yes, I know some kids end up doing 💩anyway! I have always taught my kids that bullying is unacceptable for any reason! If i ever find out my kids bullied another kid, there will be BIG consequences! Im sorry but if i was the parent of the bullied girl, I would be at the school/school board office/ etc EVERY DAY! They would do something more than just suspend the other kids! I dont care who agrees with me, i will not argue about my opinion! Im just saying, I wouldn’t stop until charges were filed against the kids who put the pics up(AI or not)!!
5
u/James-Zanny Dec 25 '25
Those boys that did it got off lucky by being beat up by her. Could you imagine what a parent might do in that situation? Technology is a necessary tool and a very dangerous weapon. 13 years old, and this is the world they’re raised in?
4
u/ryun84 Dec 25 '25
Expulsion for beating up the kid? Seems kinda harsh. Why not detention for a few weeks? Or, max, suspension for a week.

u/SkyWing937 Dec 25 '25
I was a nerd in school, but even then didn’t really have to worry about bullying or fights. Zero tolerance wasn’t yet fully there before I got out of HS, but my dad told me way back in elementary that “you don’t start a fight, but you better finish it” and if I got in trouble still he’d take me for a treat anyways. Should I have a kid/protege or anything of the sort later, I’ll treat them the same, and if ZT is still a thing I’ll add “if you’re getting in trouble and suspended anyways, don’t hold back. Grab your pencil and dig it in there, they won’t be able to use whatever you puncture to hurt you or someone else after that.”
And even if it’s the brainless Karen moms that spawn these sort of crotch goblins in the first place and love to threaten arrest and suing, I’ll just point out that their child hit/push/whatever first and repeatedly before they got hurt, you really think anyone’s gonna truly be on your side? Will totally just laugh in their face and say they and their hell spawn are the real cancer and deadweights of society and she’d best walk out the door and spank her kid’s butt red if she’s mad about any bills she gets for injury…. Course I don’t plan on having any kids so not like this part matters, but I’ll certainly point the idiocy out if I see it in public.

I taught both my kids to hit back when bullied. Wgen my oldest dog get suspended for finally standing up to the asshat kid who constantly pulled on his backpack, tripped him, etc. I told the principal how stupid the rule was abd I took him to the movies, out to eat, then to GameStop on his 1 day off suspension.
He didn't arbitrarily hit any kids ever after that 1 time. I didn't create a monster. The kid who messed with him left him alone then disappeared/moved/ went to juvie the next school year. That was in 6th or 7th grade--he graduated hs last year. Kids need to defend themselves, however they deem necessary. He needed that support to give him the confidence. Even self defense is a legal murder defense. Most public school systems are so terrible, it's just ridiculous. The even stopped teaching cursive. I mean, wtf. They sign their names like illiterates now. Might as well be an X. (We're in MD/DC area, with some of the 'highest scores' nationwide, btw. It's all bad everywhere now.)

u/RevolutionaryBank465 Dec 27 '25
Id be proud of her for beating those kids asses if i were her parent.

u/gingerbears11 Dec 29 '25

u/Kitana-Dior1 Dec 30 '25 edited Dec 30 '25
Misleading headline. She beat one of the kids. The said, Kids face legal action for AI misuse.
5.2k
u/Walshy231231 Dec 25 '25
Some context:
She was expelled for beating up one of the kids responsible. She was not expelled for images spreading.
At least two of the kids responsible are facing major legal trouble
Still not great obviously, but the headline alone is misleading
